A Warehouse Supervisor,Darryl is the Warehouse supervisor. Michael refers to him as “Mista Rogers”, a nickname with an interesting evolution. It began as Regis (as Darryl’s last name is Philbin), then Reeg, Roger, and finally Mista Rogers.

I am really Darryl Philbin, a writer, coach, and youth advocate. Was wondering why my name is used on this blog site?
Grew up “in da hood”
Taught Michael a bunch of hood-isms like dinkin flicka, goin mach 5, fleece it out and an awesome hand shake.
Apparently drinks tea…was getting it from the break room in Basketball when he and Michael wager the game on a Saturday work day.
Takes his warehouse job seriously and does not appreciate monkey-business out there.
Hooked up with the red-head from the sexual harassment video from the SH episode.
His greatest fear is that someone will come into the warehouse and destract them from getting their shipments out on time. (Too bad that already happened…)
He shoots down Michael’s idea for having fire eaters in the warehouse for Casino Night.
Calls Michael “Mike.”
Wants to wear Michael’s Santa hat in the Christmas Party episode. Michael initially refuses, but by the end of the night, he lets Darryl wear the hat.
Presumably takes a snorkel shot (although we do not see it) after Roy on the Booze Cruise.
In Casino Night, he told Michael that he would not allow fire eaters in a paper warehouse
He suggests to Michael that the warehouse staff go upstairs and the office staff stays downstairs during the Basketball episode.
Let me add one more…he was standing behind Dwight in the warehouse while he was trying to escape from the box that Jim taped him in during “The Alliance”.

Also he seems to run the warehouse really well, from what we see in ‘Boys and Girls’. That is before Michael messes everything up. : )
The only warehouse character to really get any airtime, Darryl doesn’t dislike Michael. On the contrary, he’s somewhere in between aggervated, and simply ammused by him. He gets frusterated when Michael destroys the warehouse in “Boys and girls,” but he plays up to Michael’s stereotypes of
African Americans in “Casino Night” by teaching him some phrases “us negros” say, as well as teaching him some handshakes.
Is Michael’s “homie.” I love the scene where he is giving him handshakes and stuff. Classic.
He’s seen Santa.Michael trys to take a weird, fake kissing picture with him.I really like how he calls Michael, Mike, it’s kind of endearing. He’s the foreman, not Roy, which is cool, according to Michael.
