Would “do” Angela…I believe he calls her a tight-ass blonde chick in The Fire.
Inspired by the ship’s captain in Booze Cruise to set a wedding date for June 10.
Reveals to Jim in Boys and Girls that he knows about his crush on Pam but is ok with it because he’s glad she has a friend at work to complain to so he doesn’t have to listen to it.
Talks Pam out of taking the graphic design internship in New York in the same episode for “no big reason, just a bunch of little ones.”
Catches Jim and Pam in an innocent but comprimising position (can’t remember the episode but Jim is telling Pam something funny about Dwight-The Alliance maybe?) and almost starts a fight.
Doesn’t give Pam a Valentine’s gift but promises her “the best sex of her life” when she complains about not getting anything.
Dresses up when Pam’s mom is in town (“Sexual Harrassment”) and asks what kind of “tunes” she wants to listen to.
Left Pam at a minor league hockey game.
Was going to get Pam an iPod for Christmas (“Christmas Party”), but since she already got one, he said he’d get her a sweater. However, Pam traded her iPod to Dwight later in the episode (for Jim’s teapot) and we learn in “The Injury” that Roy instead got her a cheaper version of an iPod.
He thinks Kevin’s band, Scrantonicity, “rocks” and hires them for the wedding.
He will probably pummel Jim if/when he finds out what transpired between Pam and Jim in “Casino Night.”
He believes that his three-year engagement to Pam prior to his agreeing to set a date wasn’t valid (via Michael’s comments to Jim when Jim confesses his feelings for Pam “Booze Cruise”)
In the Boys and Girls episode, when Jim confesses that he “used to have a crush” on Pam, Roy tells Jim that he is glad Pam has a friend to talk to at the office so that she doesn’t dump it all on him. In the same episode, he also complains about having to buy dinners for his girlfriend all the time.
On Casino Night, he asks Jim to “Keep an eye” on Pam.
Something I picked up on in the “Christmas Party” episode is that he plays Fantasy Football…you can hear him and Darryl talking about it when Pam finally decides to take the teapot from Dwight.
He seems mostly oblivious to things that Pam wants (like her thoughts and feelings, and the fact that she would never pick Scrantonicity as her wedding band, yet he went ahead and picked them anyway). At the same time, there must be something about him that made Pam stay with him since high school- like he gets along well with her family, and maybe he acts different when the cameras aren’t around.
I could be looking into this way more then I should but Roy seems to care a lot about what people think of him. He always seems to be showing off in front of his friends, for Pam’s Mom his was definitely sucking up (Sexually Harassment), and also instead of talking to Pam about setting a wedding date he has to announce it to everyone (Booze Cruise). Maybe he wants to break up with Pam but he doesn’t want to look like the bad guy. He has to see the connection between Pam and Jim, maybe he wants them to get together so it’ll look like her fault not his when they split? I think he knows he’s not the marring type but he doesn’t want to be the bad guy either. Just my 2 cents. : )
Too self-serving to be going out with someone like Pam. Everythign always comes back to him. (i.e. He thanks jim for being her friend in the office so he won’t have to listen to her complain and rant when she gets home.). He’s only okay with things if they serve his purpose.
Ashley, I can definitely see your point. I think a lot of people just want to write Roy off as an insensitive jerk, but I think it adds more to his character that he’s maybe just insecure at times, which leads him to show off. He also seems to be a bit on guard when the cameras are on him (I noticed this happening in “Boys and Girls” when the camera panned to him and he immediately stiffened up). At the same time I think he’s probably just so comfortable in his relationship with Pam, that’s why he’s almost taken her for granted, that she’ll always put up with his behavior. So it’ll be interesting to see how his character develops next season.
But I’m the same way, I think about these characters a bit too much!
Roy treats Pam like dirt, as he shows very often. They have been engaged for 3 years and finally set a date with her on Booze Cruise. Was cheated on by Pam on casino night with JIM! The very man he was so excited for Pam to have so she could talk his hear off, rather than Roy’s. Roy also convinced pam not to try to become a graphic designer as Jan suggested, because it wouldn’t lead anywhere. His future is not very bright, and Pam knows it. She cries when talking about getting the house of her dreams, although they don’t have any like that in Scranton…
I forgot to say that he makes fun of Pam in front of Katy in Booze Cruise because she was an “artsy fartsy with a turtleneck,” or something like that. Bastard.
Would go after Katy if he wasn’t “dating” Pam
Met Pam in High School
Likes hockey and wave runners.
Drives a truck.
Michael refers to Roy’s relationship with Pam as their office version of Brad and Angelina. But instead of Brangelina, “It’s a Ram thing.”
He’s very competitive at sports.

Would most like to “do” that “tight-a$$ed Christian chick…the blonde” as he confessed in The Fire.
Offer’s Pam the best sex of her life on Valentine’s day.
He doesn’t think the internship in New York Pam wants to go to would lead to anything.
Often leaves Dunder Mifflin functions early.
He takes a snorkel shot on the Booze Cruise.

During the Booze Cruise episode when Katy starts her high school cheer he grooves along with the chant by bobbing his head.

Left Pam at a minor league hockey game on their first date.
He got in an arguement with Pam in front of Chili’s in “The Dundies.”
Pam broke off her engagement with him a couple of days before the wedding.
After that, he kind of quit taking care of himself for awhile and hit rock bottom when he got a DUI.
He has decided not to take Pam for granted and hopes to win her back.
Says he is going to kill Jim Halpert at the end of “Cocktail Party”
