NorthJersey.com has posted an interview with Rainn Wilson, who plays Dwight on “The Office”.

I don’t know about you, but I don’t think I’ll ever be able to watch Rainn in another show or movie and not think of Dwight. He addresses this in the interview. When asked about the typically strange roles that he plays, he answered”

“”I was happy to find my way into show business playing those roles, but I’m certainly capable of playing more normal people. But I really don’t mind playing the eccentrics.” I enjoy finding different ways of playing different kinds of eccentrics.”

Have you seen Rainn in ‘Sahara’? He plays a dorky, somewhat eccentric assistant to the main characters. He’s kind of the gadget guy. The role was probably good practice for ‘The Office’ later on.

I saw him in Entourage as a movie critic who slams “Aquaman” until the actor’s porn star friends “encourage” Rainn to change his mind.
