Thanks to the contest, there are a ton of new readers and I’ve been getting a lot of great e-mail. I hope this continues!!

Kurt Luther writes in with these Tidbits:

  • The Office address is:

    Dunder Mifflin Incorporated
    Paper Company
    1725 Slough Avenue
    Scranton, Pennsylvania 18505

“Slough” is a sly reference to the name of the area in which the British “The Office” takes place.

  • Dwight’s phone number: (717) 555-0177
  • In Season 2, episode 6, Kevin’s email program shows Pam Beesly’s name misspelled as “Pam Beasly.”

If you have more interesting tidbits that you have picked up on, please send them in. I’ll be sure to give you credit…and you’ll make all of us look intelligent when we are watching “The Office” with our friends.

By request, I have added a new feature to LITO (Life In The Office). In addition to the RSS feed, you can now receive updates to the site by email.

For the next two weeks, anyone who signs up for the e-mail alerts will be entered into a drawing. At the end of the two weeks, one lucky LITO reader will be randomly chosen to receive the prize. What is the prize? None other than every episode of “The Office” from the iTunes Music Store. That’s right, LITO will buy you every episode available so you can watch them at any time on your computer or iPod. What could be better than that?

The winner will be randomly chosen on Feb 6, 2006. Yes, the email address you sign up with has to be real so we can notify you of your winnings. No, you don’t have to stay on the list after the contest is over, but why wouldn’t you want to?

You can sign up for the contest here.

Contact LITO if you have any questions.

If you’re a fan of the office, say it loud and say it proud.

I found some shirts at CafePress.com that are perfect for fans. I wish I thought of this first, because I can see these getting popular. My favorite one is “Let’s form an alliance.”

You can see (and order) the shirts here.

NorthJersey.com has posted an interview with Rainn Wilson, who plays Dwight on “The Office”.

I don’t know about you, but I don’t think I’ll ever be able to watch Rainn in another show or movie and not think of Dwight. He addresses this in the interview. When asked about the typically strange roles that he plays, he answered”

“”I was happy to find my way into show business playing those roles, but I’m certainly capable of playing more normal people. But I really don’t mind playing the eccentrics.” I enjoy finding different ways of playing different kinds of eccentrics.”

One of my other interests (besides The Office) are Macs and iPods. In fact, I keep another blog on freeware for the Mac.

So, you can can imagine how cool it was to see this feed on Flickr. It has a couple of photos of John Krasinski (Jim) checking out the latest iPod at an Apple Store. And, he is watching “The Office”, of course.

(Be sure to keep up with the latest John Krasinski and Office news on the homepage.)

Thanks to the great people at TheOfficeQuotes.com, we now have a great feed of random quotes from the office. The page can be found here, or you can click on the link in the sidebar at anytime.

There are plenty of quotes in there already and each time you refresh the page you’ll get a new one to laugh at.

Last night they showed “The Secret”, which is the 13th episode of this season. In case you’re wondering, there will be a total of 22 episodes this season so we are already on the second half.

Sad huh?

GiveMeMyRemote.com got the chance to interview Jenna Fischer (Pam) and John Krasinski (Jim) and they asked some great questions. I was especially glad to read that they asked about those casual glances that the actors give the camera. Sometimes, that glance is the best part of the scene and definitely make you feel like you’re in the office. GMMR.com asked if the glances are scripted in or not.

Jim’s Answer:

“Most of those looks are written into the script. But it is a lot of fun to play around with them. They somehow still feel as though we, the characters, organically found the moment. And when there is that opportunity to throw an impromptu look to the camera and it works, it’s exciting. I’m lucky to have a few of them in every episode.”

“The Secret” aired last night, and as always, I like to write my favorite part of the episode and also hear yours.

My favorite part of the episode was the frist 60 seconds when Michael tries to copy Jim’s joke. When the joke goes wrong, he gets mad. But when it goes right, he messes it up.

What was your favorite part and why?

I was reading Pam’s blog at TVGuide.com and like how she described Dwight.

“I loved shooting this episode because I got to spend a lot of time with Rainn Wilson, who plays Dwight. Something you should know about shooting this show is that everyone is really, really funny in real life — especially Rainn Wilson. When you do a scene with Rainn, you have no idea what to expect, both on camera and off. When he plays Dwight he has the most off-putting ways of standing next to you. He breathes heavy. He thrusts his pelvis forward. It is all very gross and very funny. He’d probably also want me to say “sexy,” but, uh…”

I agree with her, it is the little things about Dwight that are funniest.
