Season 2 of The Office extended

Thursday, February 16, 2006

I have seen some comments asking about how long this season will go. I read an article explaining:

On Tuesday, NBC declared its intent to keep the lights on at “The Office” through the rest of the season. The peacock reconsidered its intent to end the sitcom’s current season March 30, scheduling the season finale for May 11.

The sitcom will stay in its Thursday 9:30 p.m. perch through May mostly in the form of repeats, but an additional original episode also will be scheduled, bringing its episode order for the season to 22.

I suppose the reruns are a good idea. It will allow the late comers to catch up a little on the earlier episodes.

I think it’ll work out just fine, I’ll probably watch the reruns anyway! Any “Office” is good “Office”.

The reruns will be fun. And even if we are just getting one additional episode. One more is better than no more.

So, there will re-runs for several weeks, and then a new episode? Well, that’s a bit of a bummer, but its still WAY better than just taking it off the air in March. Although, that means we won’t see the finale until May.

Something tells me the season finale will involve the wedding (or lack there of) between Pam and Roy, especially considering the timing of the episode.
