Scranton Fit The Bill

Image

There was a great article on PhillyBurbs.com about The Office and it’s setting in Scranton. It explains why the town was chosen for the show.

“Executive producer Greg Daniels said he was looking for a city a few hours’ drive from New York, where Dunder-Mifflin’s corporate headquarters is located, and Scranton fit the bill. Also, Daniels was a fan of the author John O’Hara, who set his stories in a fictional eastern Pennsylvania coal town, and he remembered receiving greeting cards that said “Made in Scranton” on the back.”

If you read the article, you’ll see that our very own Scranton Insider was quoted and LifeInTheOffice.com was referenced. That is super!!
