I don’t know how they do it. The show always gets me laughing just 30 seconds into the episode. Dwight’s football run thru the office was incredibly funny!!! It was certainly my favorite part of the episode.(More on that later)
Dwight is awarded Dunder-Mifflin Salesman of the Year and must make a speech at a big convention, getting some assistance from Michael. Pam’s approaching wedding causes more anxiety for Jim, and he purcahses a non-refundable plane ticket to Australia—for two days before Pam’s wedding.
Because Dwight was the center of this episode, I thought that it would be only fair to center this post on him as well. Michael gave you “The Faces Of Scranton“, LITO gives you “The Faces Of Dwight.”
(PS, Don’t forget to leave a comment about your favorite part of tonight’s episode.)

favorite part: Dwight’s maniacal laugh about halfway through his speech
So Dwight was great 100% – but I really loved Michael bombing hard and commenting on the “tough crowd”.
But most of all, the issue with what temperature the A/C was set at was especially hilarious to me in a “been there/done that” way.
Sorry for the 2nd comment but I can’t help but theorize that Pam is gonna become a runaway bride and not show up for work on June 8th (when Jim leaves), I am not saying outright she is running away with Jim – I think this will be the season ending cliffhanger – where did Pam go?
I cannot be the only person who thought that the football incident was hillarious, but when kevin got hit with the ball, he had the best jim-like face that just said “What the F***!” Hillarious! Office Linebacker Dwight to the rescue.
Not to mention the “Best of luck to you, Dwight” comment from Angela, and then Pam with the. yet again, Jim-like “Come on” face. Good episode.
“That is all.”
Good call Erik. No way this wedding is happening.
Thank God “The Office” returned last night!
I fell at work and sprained my ankle. Seriously. So I was in a brace and bandage, my foot propped up on our couch, watching.
Favorite part? I second the “Dwight’s laugh” comment. That was hilarious.
Anyone notice the facade of Jim and Pam’s relationship? Like how they are sweet to each other, but Pam wouldn’t talk about her wedding dress while Jim – “one of her closest friends” – was in the room?
Jenna Fischer said in her column that the wedding is still on – but I just can’t believe it will happen. In my heart, I just can’t.
Roy is an idiot, a dolt, an insensitive jerk…the list goes on. Jim’s not perfect, but at least he sees who Pam is and supports that. He would have brought her flowers on Valentine’s Day…
The wedding will never happen. It was so nice to have the show back! But it wasn’t my favorite episode.
The theomostate bit was funny because I think that’s ANY small office.
And I liked Michael at the end– proud that he entertained the guy who entertained “a thousand.”
Michael – “The guy from Police Academy movies doing the robot, doooop, doooop”
I loved Angela’s comment to Dwight as he was leaving to do the speech: “Best of luck to you Dwight” with absolutely no inflection and like she’d been practicing it.
Anyone by chance have a transcript of Dwight’s speech, or at least what was available?
Dan,
I think you need to look for a Speech from Mussolini. That might be all you need.
Anyone notice the picture of Jan Levinson in Michael’s closet/safe? I thought it was a neat touch.
