Mr. Brown arrives to teach a seminar on racial tolerance and diversity in the workplace, Michael implies that it was his idea while in reality his offensive behavior necessitated the training. When Mr. Brown has a staff member reenact one of Michael’s past indiscretions, Michael, not satisfied with the consultant’s workshop, decides to hold his own racial teach-in later that afternoon. Meanwhile, Jim is not having a good day after losing his biggest yearly commission to Dwight.
I forgot how incredibly funny this episode was because I hadn’t watched it for a while. After watching it, I was amazed at how well everyone nailed their characters right from the beginning. Well, almost everyone. Kelly has changed quite a bit since this show. I’m not sure if it was for the better.
Michael was absolutely hilarious in this episode. This may be the peak episode of his annoyance level.
This will probably be a very unpopular comment around here, but I’m used to getting flamed on the ‘net. I hated this episode. I mean, if I had never seen The Office before and tuned in to see this as my introduction, I’d never come back.
Michael was beyond annoying, he was aggravating an infuriating. By the end of the ep, I was pissed off. May it never air again.

Dave, no flames from me. My sister hates that episode because she thought the he was TOO awkward and tense.
It is interesting to note that this is the first episode written specifically for these actors since the first episode was copy of the British first episode.
everyone has their opinions. i thought it was hilarious. the chris rock bit was golden, gets me laughing every time. when dwight says the line that hes a woman is another one i always get a laugh from. when michael gets slapped is like the icying on the cake for me. he was so annoying during it all and that slap puts him in his place.
Eddie, I’m with you on the Chris Rock Routine. It’s funny to watch michael as Kevin “slaughters” the routine. He can’t keep himself in the chair.
Then when he goes off on on the routine and gets beeped out, I laugh my head off.
