“Drug Testing”

Oh boy was it fun to have a new episode last night.
Dwight finds a joint in the parking lot so most of the show is focused on him finding out who it belongs to. (We never find out.) This made Michael a little worried because he went to an Alicia Keyes concert a couple nights earlier and may have gotten high.
But, the other part of the showed focused a lot on Jim and Pam. They played a game of “Jinx”….and continued to play each other. It was almost too much to handle when Jim reacted to Pam’s endearing, “You can tell me anything.” I don’t know about you, but Pam is a little too flirty as an engaged woman. (But obviously, Jim doesn’t do much to stop her. To him, it’s so wrong…and so right.
But the part of the show that got me laughing the most was when Jim turned the investigation around on Dwight. (pictured above) Jim accused Dwight of forgetting about his own marijuana because it is a memory-loss drug. Classic.
What part did you like?

“I like everyone I work with….with the exception of four.” That is soooo Dwight. But, WHO ARE TEH FOUR? Toby (because of Michael), Kevin? Phyllis? Oscar? Jim?? WHO ARE THE FOUR?!?!?!?
April 28th, 2006 06:34
Well one of the four is probably ryan the temp.
It was so nice to get a new episode. I was starting to feel disconnected w/ the pam/jim thing but then while watching last night I got the little “tingling” in my stomach while watching them! It’s back!
I love how Michael doesn’t know the different between cloves and pot and doesn’t know if he was high.
And how Dwight was the one smoking pot he just forgot.
I was hoping that we’d get a full hour “supersize” show.. it seems like the show is cut short as it is. But I’ll take what I can get!

I nearly pee’d in my pants when Dwight said Oscar could be a “mule” since he visited Mexico to attend his Great-Grandmother’s funeral at age 5.
Also loved when Creed knew the exact sceintific (sp?) name of the pot right down to the species…and Dwight replied “No, it’s marijuana”.

i thought jims impression of stanley was pretty good, then stanley came out of the bathroom..”is that supposed to be me?” “that is not funny”…yeah, that was good
April 28th, 2006 07:50
oh, michael thinking hooka was a drug was funny too, oh, and ryan saying he doubted michaels ever done drugs and also doubted if anyones ever offered them to him, classic!

My guess on the four:
Pam
Jim
Ryan
Kevin

Jim impression of Stanley really scared me! I was kinda sad that Jim didn’t get to talk the almost the whole episode. I love that he had to buy the pop from pam. Jim yelling at dwight and when pam and jim were talking about dwight was my favorite.
Can you guess who my favortie character is?

I missed MIchael in this episode. I was glad he did the meeting about the different kinds of drugs because I like watching him work.
No one pushes a storyline like Michael.

Oh, when Dwight asked Oscar, if he’d ever “pooped a balloon” I had to pause the TiVo because I was laughing so hard I was crying… and I thought only Arrested Development could do that to me

At first I wasn’t sure if I liked the Jinx silence thing until the end when JIm could talk again. He mentioned all the crazy things Dwight does for Michael, and pondered where their relationship was going, ironically one has to wonder about Jim and the things he does for pam (ie: compliying to a silly game of not talking for a whole day) and where that relationship is going. Throughout the silence though, the “you can tell me anything” scene features a nice akward silence between Jim & Pam that reminded me of the classic Booze Cruise silence. His expressions changed and he said nothing but you could tell when his brain got to thinking about telling Pam his feeleings. Enough rambling, that is all.

PS: I preordered the Dwight Bobblehead before the episode aired, thankfully b/c when they advertised it I was sure it would sell out but it didn’t. Oh well, I got one anyway. $15 not a bad deal.

at first i was thinking the episode wasnt going to be funny. when michael was doing it bit at the start with all the stoner refrences, it didnt do anything for me which was weird because that was the first time EVER i didnt laugh at something steve carell has done. kinda weirded me out for a sec. everything else though after had me laughing my ass off. dwight stole the show in this one, hands down. cant wait for the rest of the episodes to air.

Do people in scranton really say pop?
April 28th, 2006 17:08
I loved every bit of the episode, but my favorite part was the whole “Kelly Kapour story hour”. That was priceless.
I also thought the whole jinx thing was sweet. When Pam said “you can tell me anything” I was yelling at my TV “KISS HER! KISS HER!” Something…anything…to get that relationship going.
I had a blast.
P.S. - I also pre-ordered our very own Dwight Bobblehead this evening. It ships June 20. I can’t wait!

We say “soda” in Scranton. I think POP is Midwest.
I thought Creed was great with the specific name and Dwight was clueless.

Jim’s first word after being freed from the jinx joke (”Hi”) was sooo precious.

I loved Ryan asking if the Urinalysis Lab was hiring.
May 2nd, 2006 14:53
I loved the whole Jim turning the interview around on Dwight. I was dying.
“No you said that I’d be conducting the interview when I walked in here! Now exactly how much pot did you smoke!”
And then his silent story of the dangers of drugs. Oh man, I had no idea he had that in him!
And of course that adorable “Hi” when he was un-jinxed.

I’m still mad that they didn’t say whose joint it was. I was so sure it was going to be Phyllis.
Oh, the pop and soda comments. We just say Coke in the South. The Coca-Cola company is EVERYWHERE down here. Go into a restaurant that doesn’t have it and the waitstaff will say, “is Pepsi okay?” Me-”Um, no thank you.” I visited Chicago last year and almost died of thirst.

There are a couple of other businesses in the building aren’t there? It could easily end up being one of those workers. Or someone from the dock.
I watched the episode again last night, and I have to agree that Jim’s little “hi” was so endearing!

Creed was awesome in this one. His reply of “Northern Lights, Cannabis Indica” was so good, so perfect, that I had to rewind the TiVo 2-3 times from laughing every time I saw it. CREED RULES!!!

The DVD shows the real smokers. Some guys from Vance Refrigeration!
