    Pam’s mom seems like one of her closest friends. She’s who Pam immediately calls after Jim’s confession in “Casino Night”

    Pam doesn’t get harassed when her mom comes to visit, she gets harassed when they talk about sexual harassment in the office.. she didn’t want that to happen while her mom was there :)

    Mrs. Beesley stays involved in her daughter’s life, and not just for the big moments. Pam’s mom remembers what her daughter’s desk set-up used to look like as compared to the recent changes. Seems genuinely interested in why Pam re-arranged. Mrs. Beesley is also observant enough to understand that Jim is an important part of Pam’s life, and may even understand that better than Pam does herself. Pam’s mom allows her daughter the space to make her own choices, but is also willing to be a sounding-board for Pam (i.e. Casino Night phone call). Mrs. Beesley is the only other person (Jim being #1) Pam can really talk to, since she doesn’t like to bother Roy with her thoughts and feelings.

    Oh, I forgot to add:

    She may be left-handed. I’m a leftie and I wear my purse on my right shoulder. In the picutre above, Mrs. Beesley also carries her purse on her right shoulder.

    On the other hand, her watch is on her left wrist. I wear my watch on my right wrist as to not interfere with my writing (what little I do now-a-days). Not all left-handers do this, however- so the fact that her watch is on the left wrist doesn’t rule out the possibility of her being a southpaw.

    Perhaps the most important part that this woman has played in the show is a scene that she did not even appear in. Right after Jim kissed Pam, Pam immediately called her mom, and easily said the best line of the seasons “yeah, I think I do.”

    Is the one Pam confides all Jim related matters to, I wonder if there conversation during Casino Night touched on his redacted complaint about the wedding plans.
