Dinkin’ Flicka Apparel
In the finale of Season 2, Michael Scott uses the line “dinkin’ flicka”. I laugh every time that I hear this line. (And, to be honest, I laugh everytime that I quote it in conversation.) So, you wouldn’t be surprised how excited I was to see some money minded Office fan put it on a t-shirt at CafePress. I ordered a black one. You can order yours here.

I found an interesting translation of dinkin flicka for those who might be interested (courtesy of urbandictionary.com).
“Made popular in a recent episode of “The Office”, dinkin flicka roughly translates to “That’s life” or “C’est la vie”.
It can be used in many circumstances and basically means, ‘well, what can you do about it?.. that’s life’
The expression is generally used in response to horrible circumstances and is often repeated in agreement by the one in the bad situation.
According to the Office, the expression is “something us Negroes say” but dinkin flicka has recently gained popularity among other ethnic groups.
Darryl: I grew up in the hood.
Michael: dinkin flicka.
Darryl: dinkin flicka.
I just got shot!

That is great! I’ve already started using Dinkin Flicka at work (right wrong or otherwise). I want a women’s size shirt, but in black. I just emailed them to see if they would become available soon.

I’m pretty sure it is illegal to make a profit off another company/person’s idea… so I wouldn’t be surprised if NBC rips that website down if it becomes popular.

Huh ?? It’s not as if NBC has a copyright on the term ‘Dinkin’ Flicka’. They couldn’t rip that website down even if they wanted to. And I can’t think of why they’d want to. It’s not as if it’s a slanderous remark against NBC or any of its employees.
