Breifly: TCA Awards, Giant Ark, Four Episodes

Rather than three different small posts, I thought I’d include all three of these tidbits in the same post

  • The Television Critics Association nnounced the nominees for its 2006 awards. The Office is nominated for “Program Of The Year”, “Outstanding Achievement In Comedy” and Steve Carell was nominated for “Individual Achievement in Comedy”. There rest of the nominees can be found here.
  • They have built a giant replica of Noah’s Ark and gathered the exotic animals to Virginia for Steve Carell’s new movie “Evan Almighty”. Are there any readers in that area that can go and take a photo of this for us? If you have a friend in the area, use the “Email this post to a friend” link and ask them to snap a shot. Short article about that here.
  • NBC’s site shows that there will be four episodes of The Office on tonight including The Client, Performance Review, Halloween, and The Fire. These are all great episodes and we’ll be filling out the recaps in the coming days.

This site updates often with fun Office news. If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed or subscribe to updates by email. Also, check out the forum. Thanks for visiting!

Yes, Evan Almighty is the sequel. Steve Carrell played a journalist named Evan in the original movie, and now he’s starring in the sequel. The premise behind the sequel is that God (played by Morgan Freeman) calls Evan to build an ark.

I also wanted to add that Jenna has said that the Season 2 DVDs won’t be out until September- at least that’s what she heard. But, it did sound like there is going to be commentary again. Fun!

…and plenty more extras if she has her way. Seems she shot some “home video” behind the scenes footage and if there’s room on the DVD, they’re going to add it! Weeeeeee!

    Excellent find, Roger.

I watched all four episodes last night and loved them. My favorite opening - Dwight with his exercise ball - was on. I laughed as hard as I did the first time.

I missed 3/4 of the episodes last night because we went out for our wedding anniversary. Where ARE my priorities?
