A couple days ago I posted about the new cast members of The Office. Well LITO reader shaw just sent in a tip that he found at TVSquad. This may be a legit spoiler because it makes sense. Don’t read it if you don’t want to know.
Here is what was written:
Rashida Jones has landed a recurring role as a potential love interest and co-worker for Jim. Jim will start the season at a different Dunder Mifflin branch, where Rashida Jones, Ed Helms and Charles “Chip” Esten will play co-workers.
Like I said, this is totally believable. I’m ok with it because these new actors are great and Rashida Jones is a winner that will certainly force Pam to start thinking about things. (The same way she did when Kate was in Jim’s life. Remember her jealousy in The Fire?)
Anyone want to weigh in on this? What’s going to happen? I think Jim takes the transfer, but is eventually brought back when the two branches are merged.
i think john and rashida are dating in real life… so maybe the chemistry will make the “Electric City” spark.
She’s a cutie… Pam already had some competition with the other red head, so I wonder what will happen here.
Pam who? Ha, just kidding. She is a cutie-pie, though. This makes sense. Pam’s playing Jim, intentionally or not. The only way to deal with that is to find another honey.
I’m working my way through the UK Office throught NetFlix and that seems to be working for Tim with Dawn.
You always end up wanting what you can’t have…perhaps Pam will realize this when Jim starts seeing the new gal…Still hoping Carol Burnett makes a guest appearance on the show…I remember reading about what a fan of the show she was.

Jenna Fischer’s myspace blog confirms the following new additions to The Office, Ed Helms, Chip Esten, and Rashida Jones. I hope they’re good. Chip is from Who’s Line, and he was pretty funny.

to be honest, i dont wanna see jim with any other girl but pam and i hate r.j. already.
Although i’m a big JAM fan, i think it’s definitely a good thing that Jim has another girl. It’s about time tht Pam get jealous and have to work toward her relationship w/ Jim. Jim’s been doing all the work thus far and now it’s Pam’s turn.
Either way, as seen from Katy, even though Jim is w/ another girl, Pam will always be his number one.
Although I want Jim & Pam to get together as much as the next person, I’m always glad when Jim finds someone else, because Pam won’t pick between him and Roy, and so essentially she’s leading him on and I feel bad for the guy. But I’m also glad, because this girl could be the catalyst to get Jim and Pam together! I hope she’s not as repulsive as Katie was (did anyone really like her?)
Well….. this is very interesting. I think I would of preffered knowing that this was a spoiler that was about Pam & Jim.
Owell I can only guess that Jim goes along with the transfer and maybe he couldn’t get out of it because he told Jan yes.
Maybe Jones will be going after Jim and Jim will find it reluctant to go out with her because of his feelings about Pam.

Did you forget that Pam was engaged? She shouldn’t have been leading Jim on, or at least realise that she was crossing the line. Since it sounds like Pam has chose Roy, I’m liking Pam less and less. Good for Jim to get over her.
This Rashida gal is pretty hot – I can see Creed making a move on her in due time. Maybe he can seduce her with some Northen Light, cannabis indica.
I re-read the blurb and noticed that it says she is a “potential” love interest — Not for certain. They have to build some kind of sexual tension. She’ll be a perfect addition. And as long as her name doesn’t appear in the opening credits, you know she’s only temporary.
Anyway, we all knew it had to happen. I’m guessing Jim told Pam about his feelings and did the whole kiss thing because he knows he’s transferring. I’ll bet the first words out of his mouth after the kiss were “I’m transferring” and then left the room.
Can’t wait for Season 3!!!! September can’t come fast enough.
