I was reading thru the latest post on Jenna’s Myspace Blog and I was excited to see one answer that we’ve all been wondering about. It reads:
Will Season 3 take place right where Season 2 left off? Or will it be like the next week or something?
Actually Season 3 will begin in real time. When the show returns in September, it will be September for the folks at Dunder-Mifflin as well.
This will make for a really interesting first show. My guess is that Jim took the transfer, then went to Australia for his trip. When he came back, he goes right to work at Stamford and has no idea whether Pam got married or not. He starts digging on the new girlBut, when the branches are combined, both Jim and his new flame are brought back to Scranton. This will all happen in the first episode.
That’s a good thing because I don’t know if I can find a Stamford Insider.
Any guesses from you fine folks?
that sounds very plausible. although i was hoping for a wedding scene with lots of dunder mifflin-ites, and maybe a shot of jim on the other side of the world, surrounded by fun, but looking utterly miserable. then again i don’t want pam and roy to get married at all … if they did it’ll ruin half the show for me, because part of the fun is seeing how good jim & pam are for each other. i doubt they’d take a divorce route on the show …
that sounds good, but I figure they would spread it over two episodes, where we find out about the merging of the two branches at the end of the 1st episode and the 2nd episode is when everyone comes together.
I was thinking if they did get married that Roy may cheat on Pam, “If I wasn’t dating Pam, I would be all over that.” “We’re not dating we’re engaged!” … it would lead to enullment …
and the babies thing they mentioned on the E! video was for angela and dwight … “I could have a pair of well-behaved boys.”
Interesting feedback. I now have my hopes up that everything is wrapped up in the first episode, but I doubt it.
It seems like a lot of stuff to jam into one episode! And if they are giving Jim’s new girl a permanent spot, it seems unlikely that his dealings with her will be contained in one measley episode, otherwise why add her on full time? Sigh. I don’t want to have to wait another month.
I think that it will be spread over 2 episodes. Pam didnt get married over the summer. Got postponed.Jim and his new girl will be at stamford then combined to scranton.
Jim and Pam will NOT be together for a long time. I think the emphasis will be on Dwangela and Michaels relationships.

If we are skipping all the way to September, how many months are we missing? In other words, what time of year was the Season Finale?
My bet rearding the wedding is that Roy screwed it up and accidentally sceduled the wedding for next year or something, and Pam takes that as a sign (among other things)
