Chris sends in this message and photo:
Dwight got so inspired while watching Celtic Spring on America’s Got Talent, that he has begun taking Irish stepdancing lessons. He’s a natural.

A few things:

  • Tonight they are going to air the episode that was voted as the “Fan Favorite”. If you’d like to chat with other Office fans, GMMR is hosting a chat. You can read more about it here.

  • Yesterday, LITO reader Ben sent in a link to an interesting article of Dwight/Rainn giving advice. It is called “Getting Ahead at ‘The Office’”

And moving in the other direction, do you have any tips on managing from below?

Keep the subordinates in line, use the carrot and the stick, but use the carrot like, the same way you would the stick.

    So beat them with it?

    Exactly.

    You can read it here.

  • In another post, Sara commented about a Office calendar that you can buy here. That could be entertaining.

Chris sent in this photo of Dwight taking a flight lesson from her husband somewhere over Vegas.

Have we got some fun videos for you to watch today. First up, the new webisode is up. They don’t interview anyone this time…just each other.

You can watch that webisode here.

But, that isn’t even the best video for your watching pleasure.

A few days ago I mentioned that the cast of The Office would be hosting the NBC Primetime Preview. Well, it looks like we don’t have to wait any longer. I couldn’t find these videos on the NBC site, but someone at the Live Journal Office Community posted them up.

The first video is here.

The second video is here.

Oddly, the third video of TV Show commercials starts with more commercials. But, it is right here

NBC is looking to have a pretty good line up. Of all the new shows starting up, I think that Heroes looks pretty good.

Well my calendar reports that it is Steve Carell’s birthday today. In honor of this fact, I thought I’d post this video of highlights from “Michael’s Birthday“. It’s set to the classic “Birthday” by the Beatles. Dwight and Michael raise the roof at the perfect time. I laughed out loud.

Happy birth moment Michael…I mean Steve!

I was reading thru the latest post on Jenna’s Myspace Blog and I was excited to see one answer that we’ve all been wondering about. It reads:

Will Season 3 take place right where Season 2 left off? Or will it be like the next week or something?

Actually Season 3 will begin in real time. When the show returns in September, it will be September for the folks at Dunder-Mifflin as well.

This will make for a really interesting first show. My guess is that Jim took the transfer, then went to Australia for his trip. When he came back, he goes right to work at Stamford and has no idea whether Pam got married or not. He starts digging on the new girlBut, when the branches are combined, both Jim and his new flame are brought back to Scranton. This will all happen in the first episode.

That’s a good thing because I don’t know if I can find a Stamford Insider.

Any guesses from you fine folks?

This post has a double purpose. First, it is to make you aware of the great list of quotes from The Office that is found on Wikipedia. You can find a lot of entertainment and laughs on that page. You can find that list here

Also, one of the quotes that I read was when Jim asked where Dwight would travel. He quickly responded:

I can travel anywhere, except Cuba, and I will travel to New Zealand and walk the Lord of the Rings trail to Mordor and I will hike Mount Doom.

Any creative guesses on why he is not allowed to travel to Cuba? I bet it has something to do with the beet farm. Maybe he broke the US partial embargo of trade with Cuba by shipping beets there.

My wife heard that Steve Carell had a part in the 1991 film called Curly Sue so we rented it to watch last night.

Sure enough, just 5 minutes into the movie a young waiter comes into the scene named Steven Carell. (That was also the name of the character) It’s about a thirty second part and his whole reason for being there is to go and fetch the chef. But it was still fun to see him.

Even though he was there in the first 5 minutes, we decided to watch the rest of the movie anyway. That movie was more entertaining than I remembered. I wish that Steve’s part was as big as his newest film that centers around a little girl, Little Miss Sunshine. I haven’t seen this film because I don’t watch rated R movies, but I heard that Steve Carell was really good in it. He’s certainly the hot actor in Hollywood right now.

A few of you have mentioned this extra footage and I really think the rest of you will like it too.

Here are a few more videos from Kristen at E! They are funny…and very interesting.

Even better news (seriously): a bona fide resolution to the “Whom will Pam choose?” cliffhanger. According to John, “You get a resolution right off the bat. I think you guys will figure out what happened after [the kiss]. Honestly, I was worried about it all summer. Not worried, but I was really interested to see what the writers did with it. And they wouldn’t tell us. And when we found out, I just thought, there is not a more genius way to deal with it.”

Take a look at the videos here.
