A few weeks ago, I got word that my cousin was getting married. I was happy to hear that.
Yesterday, my wife received an invitation to her Bridal shower. The invitation looked great. As she scanned the info, she read, “To be held September 21st, 2006. 7PM to 9PM”
All fans of The Office know that the above mentioned time frame is when the world is supposed to stop while we learn what has happened to Jim, Pam, Michael and the rest of the gang.
My wife, the good family member that she is, has decided that she’ll support our cousin and then just watch the episode when she gets home. It’s not exactly as we had planned, but you have to do what you have to do.
How will you be spending next Thursday evening? Any special plans?
I will be introducing my newborn son to the Office for the first time, as he was born during the hiatus. I cannot wait! lets hope there is not screaming.
It will be one of my first days in college, so I’m hoping to meet a whole bunch of Office fans beforehand, and then organize a big viewing party. I figure I will make Office friends and maybe if it goes well we can do it more throughout the year.
On my couch, next to hubby, volume turned up loud, DVR working, kids in bed, phone by my side to call Mom as soon as it’s over.
Or maybe hubby will be on upstairs TV as I refuse to hand over remote for “back-up channel/check football score” during that time!
I will be in Hawaii while my DVR records the first two episodes and I watch them when I get back.
I’m going to an Office Season Premiere Party at my co-worker’s home. The plan is to watch the season finale and other highlights from Season 2 until 8:30 and then watch the new episode. It will be a blast…
Oh, Lynn, can I come to your party? Sounds like fun! And I love it that you’re doing it (the party…otherwise you’d have to disclose to HR) with coworkers!
OOHHH Next Thursday!!! The day I have been waiting for!!! I am blessedly off on Thursdays(i changed my off day for The Office) So I am going to be ready at 8:20 with my popcorn, I really wish I had someone to watch it with, but no one I know loves it as much as I do. So yeah, but it will be great no matter what!! I can’t wait!!!!!

on the couch with my husband and my baby. I liked when it was on a little later.. wasn’t it on at 8 or 8:30 last season (central time). My son doesn’t go to sleep until 8. He’s learned how to turn the tv off and he seems to do it during critical parts of shows. Maybe I’ll see if my mom will babysit him during the show. ha.
A party SOUNDS like funny.. but I always get way too anal when I’m watching something I REALLY want to see w/ other people. They always end up talking or making noise or moving around and I have to have full attention to see what happens!!!
I will be hosting a Must-See TV Premier Night Party. I think I’ve got seven or eight people coming over, and we are having pizzas and beers, two kinds of desserts
, and watching Earl, The Office, switching over to Grey’s Anatomy for my sister, and then back to watch ER. It’s going to be an insane night!
I agree about everyone making noise because they aren’t as into it as I am. Last season I would have that problem alot, but over the break I have gotten everyone else in my little network as obsessed with the show as I am. My only worry this time is my two new puppies who choose inopportune times to either want to go outside or to loudly wrestle with the cat.
My sister is closing on her first house that day. She freaked when they told her the date that was set, and wanted to change it, but didn’t want to tell them why. Gotta love priorities, right?
I am on the East Coast, so I will watch it and then call all my family (including my brother Brian!!!) and rubbing it in that I saw it three hours before them.
Meg, if you live in Michigan, you can come to our work “Office” party! It’s a tradition in my office to watch The Office and then discuss on Friday morning. We bought a Dwight bobblehead for the office mascot and many times, e-mails float through the office with random quotes from our favorite episodes. What can I say – we love the show!
I’ll be just finishing a review of Casino Night with deleted scenes. Then just before the premeire begins, I’ll get myself a nice big bowl of ice cream…

Nothing too special, just on my bed, watching attentively. Yeah, I don’t have any friends who like the Office.
My husband and I will be visiting friends in LA. I really, really, really hope they are Office fans, or at least don’t mind me borrowing their TV for a half hour.
Oh btw, Casino Night is on tonight @ 9:20 pm eastern!

I’ve thought about the party idea with my sisters and their husbands, but I reconsidered when I remembered that they are loud tv talkers. I decided I’ll just call them once it’s over so we can discuss.
I’ll be watching the premiere alone with my dog – unless she gets too crazy, then it’ll be outside for her! At least until it’s over.
48girl, that’s my big thing too. I have to have complete silence while watching the show. Even those who laugh loud are asked to leave. =) You miss too mnay jokes when people are laughing loud.
On my couch, with my boyfriend, my dog, and lots of jalapeno poppers! Of course, the boyfriend and the dog will not be allowed to speak, bark, or chew loudly during the episode.
Me and a couple members of my Yahoo Group, the-office-usa, will be watching the premeire together.
We are going go to Chili’s after!
