I don’t know why, but Creed has been cracking me up lately. I know that a lot of you have favorite Creed moments too. So in that spirit, here is a great “mixtape” of all the great Creed moments. (And here’s hoping for another Creed Zinger in tomorrow’s episode.)

I’m not even sure how I came across this, but The Office is joining with Lee for National Denim Day. On the DenimDay Official Website, there is a video with Ryan, Michael, Jim, Pam and Dwight encouraging everyone to wear jeans on Oct 6th and make a $5 donation to support the fight against breast cancer.

You can officially register here. Also, to watch the video, go here and look at the bottom right corner of the page.

A few days ago, everyone wrote their guesses for the Season Premier and the winner was promised a Dwight Bobblehead. Well, I finally got the time to read over them all and I’ve narrowed it down to two contestants. Each of them have some things that are right on, and each of them have a few that were off. I can’t decided, so I was hoping that you’d help me.

Here are the two options. You are welcome to put the letter of the guess you like in the comments. But, even more helpful would be some reasons why one should get it or why another shouldn’t. But, be nice.

In no particular order:

Guess A

Jim is in Stamford. He took his vacation and transfered. He is flirting/semi dating a girl at that office.

Pam and Roy didn’t get married.. for the first time it was Pam that pushed it off. Making Roy want her more. Since there’s no wedding Roy grows a beard which shows the world just how hot he is. Kelly hears about the postponed wedding and flirts with him.

Pam and Jim don’t talk (therefore they don’t know what happened over the summer) until Michael makes Pam call over there for something. Jim finds out that she didn’t get married and he tries to act “cool” about it but he’s conflicted because he still loves her but has started to move on. what to do what to do. There will be eye contact between jim and his flirt during the conversation. They will continue to communicate which makes Pam giddy. Roy will catch her in a giddy moment.. he’ll ask why.. she won’t say much.. he’ll know.. and be sad.

Michael will still be with Carol but still flirt with Jan.. it will drive Jan nuts. She’s over it… for now atleast.

Michael will find out that Oscar’s gay and will, of course, make a lot of jokes about it. He will have an office meeting about it.. not naming names.. but trying to make everyone accepting of it.. or about how to handle it. Michaels unability to keep in on the dl.. even though he thinks he is.. will kick O. out of the closet to the entire office. No one will really care except angela.

Ryan will embarassingly let us know that he has accepted a fulltime job at the office and is no longer a temp… but he’ll also say that that doesn’t mean that he’ll be there forever.. it was just more pay. Michael will gloat.

Guess B

Michael indirectly finds out that someone on the staff is homosexual – someone has applied for health benefits for a domestic
partner. Under the pretext that he wants to find out who it is so he doesn’t say the wrong thing to the that person, he proceeds to try to find out who it is by asking questions using over-the-top stereotypes.
He brings in broadway soundtracks, and praises songs/singers while mis-identifying them. He asks if people prefer snails or oysters;
big, thick steaks or chicken; red wine or white.

Perhaps he doesn’t know if the homosexual person is male or female, and gets suspicious when Kelly wears a pantsuit, or Phyllis is dressed all in purple. He professses admiration for Billie Jo King and Martina
Navratilova to see who agrees with him.

(Any other actor or show would not be able to pull off the parading of these stereotypes without them seeming stale and obvious, but
I’m betting Steve and the rest of the cast will make it work.)

Creed will make an off-hand comment to the camera about having a boyfriend for three days, until he came down off some drug, or about making out at a party or concert with “Terry (or other gender-ambiguous name)…”he might’ve been a guy.”

Jim is in Stamford. He tells the camera that Pam wouldn’t break things off with Roy, so there was no reason for him to
stick around. As others have mentioned, there are signs that at least one of his new co-workers is interested in him.

Roy has gone mountain man either because of some throw-back religious/lifestyle belief, which became more apparent as they got closer to the wedding. Over time, Pam realized
just how little she knew about Roy (”he expected me to have 9 children and home school them”). They mutually called off the wedding.

I stand by my previous prediction that Kelly is pregnant.
Ryan is not the dad, but we don’t know that yet, which will make Ryan very nervous. Once the reality of caring for a baby
sinks in, Kelly will be back at work, while declaring how much she misses her baby. (Omigod, I miss her so much…almost
as much as I miss friends…Chandler and Joey were the cutest!)

Last night, I was excited to check out the new show called “Heroes.” Right before the show started, they showed this commercial for the next episode of The Office.

It’s good to see Michael and Dwight dancing again. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve tried to impersonate the time that they raise the roof together and look at the camera. (Go ahead, make the beat with your mouth and try it right now.)

Here’s the commercial.

LITO reader Taylor just sent in this promo that was recently released for Dwight and Angela.

Wow, it’s been a long time since we’ve had a new episode. But with that new episode comes the return of the haiku contest.

For those of you visiting for the first time, a Haiku is a “Japanese lyric verse form having three unrhymed lines of five, seven, and five syllables, traditionally invoking an aspect of nature or the seasons.” So basically, you have to have three lines of 5, 7 and 5 syllables and they don’t have to rhyme. Of course, instead of nature or season, we are going to write about that weeks episode. It can sum up the whole plot, or just one part that you liked. After a couple days, we’ll choose a winner.

I’ll go first:

Dwight unpacks the box
A Ha, it beeps on Oscar
But also Dwight Schrute?

Now it’s your turn. Let’s get the haikus rolling. (If you’ve never done one, let this bve your first time. I promise, no one will laugh unless it’s supposed to be funny.)

Jenna (Pam) put a new post on her Myspace blog. In it, she talks about the ratings being really, really high. That is awesome.

Also, she gives this little tidbit:

And, you all thought the best kiss on TV was from Casino Night. Not anymore! The kiss between Michael and Oscar was improvised. Steve just went into that bit on the fly. It was brilliant! Those looks of shock/giddiness/confusion on our faces are REAL. We were all on the edge of our seats wondering what would happen next. I can’t believe we held it together for as long as we did. I’m not sure we’ve ever laughed so hard on set.

That would have been real strange to be in the room and not know where Michael is going.

But, now we have three memorable kisses on the show. Michael and Jan in the Chili’s parking lot. Jim and Pam in the office. Michael and Oscar in the conference room.

I don’t know how many of you took the time to click over to the chat with Greg Daniels, but there was a fun little bit of news for those who did. From his post:

Next week, we are following Michael and Dwight on a trip to the paper industry convention in Philadelphia where they will interact with Jim and the Stamford manager. Michael has some issues with Jim leaving, and Jim is trying to get news of certain individuals who work in Scranton. And Pam goes on a date with someone new.

Now that sounds like a fun episode. I wonder if this is the one that has Michael throw a party in his hotel room.

As always, Dave gives us the view as a Scranton Insider:

Woo, it’s good to be back! More importantly, it’s great to have our show back on the air. Don’t you agree? Let’s get to it, shall we.

At the very beginning, when Roy brought Pam her lunch, I’m pretty sure I saw a University of Scranton flag behind Pam. Odd, as I thought she went to Marywood University (as did yours truly), which is the other university in Scranton. Marywood and the U of S are on opposite ends of town, and an even deeper divide exists between the two schools. Marywood students do NOT go to U bars (we call it “The U” in Scranton) and vice versa. It’s an unwritten rule that makes the flag’s presence at Marywood alum Pam’s desk puzzling. The Scranton Chamber of Commerce cup still holds pens on her desk as it has done in previous seasons.

And you know what, people? That was it! No other Scranton references in this week’s episode. But I won’t hold that against the writers.

See you next week!

In case you missed the show last night, it is now available in iTunes. As always, it is $1.99. However, this year they are offering the “Season Pass” for $29.99. Buying this will automatically download all the new shows, and gives you a break on price thru the long run.
