Interview With Jam, Novak on The Tonight Show

Image

In Jenna’s latest blog post, she points us to an interview that she and John Krasinski (Jim) did with TVGuide. (She also posted the picture that you see above.)

Well, she actually pointed us to part two of the interview because part one was ran last week. There are some interesting questions and answers here. For example:

TVGuide.com: Will Pam now be Dwight’s primary tormentor?
Fischer: Pam has kind of a different role now — she’s more independent, taking things a bit more seriously, trying to figure out what she wants to do with her life. Teasing Dwight was a way to bond with Jim, and certainly she’s going to be tickled to call Jim and tell him stories, but Pam’s going to have more battles with Angela this season. For example, Pam is going to get kicked off the party-planning committee in a future episode.

Also, B.J. Novak (Ryan The Temp) will be on The Tonight Show tomorrow night.

I find it very disconcerting that she refers to Pam being more independent and having a different role this SEASON. It sort of sounds like the separation is going to be stretched out further than the 4 episodes I thought this thing would last. Yikes! Will Jim not be in Scranton for the whole season? Surely that can’t be right…. right??

My guess is that we’ll see a couple more episodes before the branches merge. Having the separate offices give the writers way to many new stories to pass up.

It’s interesting that she mentions problems with Angela. Angela has already alienated Oscar, then Pam, then ??? I think I am more interested in Angelas relationships with everyone else by the end of the season.

Yeah, I was really grossed out by Angela’s behavior thus far. I loved her last two seasons, so… I am not looking forward to a friendless, Dwightless Angela. I imagine she will leave Dwight for Roy, or something crazy and equally soap-opera-ish. I should say that i did love her being mistaken for a hooker, though. Funny stuff.

As for JAM, I am not keeping my hopes up. I imagine it will happen, but I am so confused as to what the branches merging will mean for both Jim and Michael. I do not want this season to be like the BBC– it was funny for Ricky Gervais to always be making an ass of himself. That was his role. I feel like Michael is more of a dork with a good heart. I don’t want to see him constantly being put down and made fun of by the entire office when he is demoted… if that is what happens. I started rambling, but yeah

Hey Brian, I think we need a general forum or something on this site. :)
