I was watching Gay Witch Hunt tonight, as many of you were I’m sure. Well, after the episode, they showed a promo for next week’s episode, Diwali. They showed Pam, Roy, Jim, Angela and Ryan and said, “And one of these people will be proposed to next week.” (Or something like that.)
My guess is Ryan since a) that would cause the least ripples and b) Kelly is crazy. I’m thinking Kelly and her family think it is way more serious that it obviously is. They probably take the Diwali as an opportunity into invite Ryan to the family. It’s going to be awkward.
Although, I think this is most likely in my mind. But, it sure is fun to imagine what would happen if Dwight got down on one knee.
Any other guesses?

Actually, in the last shot, Carol is standing with Ryan – so it could be her that gets a proposal. I wouldn’t put it past Michael to propose to Carol at a Diwali celebration.
There should be a poll to guess who proposes and to whom. I think it will be Michael who will propose to Carol. No wait… Roy will propose to Pam again. No.. Carol to Michael. Kelly to ryan. I don’t know.
my first guess was dwight would propose to angela. they have something serious going on and it will probably happen sooner or later.

I didn’t see the promo (and can’t wait for you to find and post a link…), but my guess is that Ryan is proposed to by Kelly’s family or father. Can’t you see it? Kelly’s dad is talking with Ryan and says something like “wouldn’t it be so nice to marry such a nice girl” and Ryan agrees and then it’s blown up into a proposal–then cut to Ryan, standing with his mouth open, staring and wondering how the hell he just became engaged to a girl who feeds him french fries in restaurants.
oh goodness..it’s my son’s first birthday next thursday! hopefully everyone leaves the party before 7:30!! ha. I’ll have to find a blank tape! I feel so 90′s by saying that.

I hope it’s Angela by Dwight….They are just so great together….They even deserve a spinoff someday
I think Dwight will ask Angela … I remember seeing a picture of Dwight with a child for next weeks episode, maybe this puts him over the edge and he wants to have children with Angela.
I definitely think it’s Michael to Carol. “Watch With Kristin” also mentions something about us seeing more of Carol soon. I know, we all want it to be Pam proposing to Jim…

Sadly – I’m confident it’s NOT going to be Jim and Pam or Pam and Roy.
I’d really like to see Michael get engaged…and it makes sense, since one of the themes this year is Jan cracking down on Michael; his proposing to Carol would definitely do that.
Last night, I rewatched last week’s episode. I happened to pause my DVR when Jan was in Michael’s office and he’d just finished talking about his romantic night with Carol. The look on Jan’s face was pure venom. Which also supports my theory.
Kristy: If it’s available where you live, I HIGHLY recommend DVR. I use it to record every episode of The Office and my other favorite shows (you can set it up to record the entire season, with or without reruns). Then I don’t have to worry about being home in time to watch the television…and when I’m done with an episode, it’s deleted. No tapes. Nothing but a few buttons. I LOVE it.
There is no doubt in my mind that it will be Kelly proposing to Ryan… none.

I’m jumping in the Michael-Carol boat. They’re all at the big celebration and Michael won’t stand not being part of all of the attention, so he’s going to propose to Carol. Remember the Nov. 9th eposide is titled “Branch Closing”, so my guess is Michael proposes to Carol…Jan finds out and flips and merges the Scranton and Stamford branches.
I’m another Michael-Carol person. It HAS to be done. How awkward would it be with interactions between Michael and Jan if he and Carol tie the knot?

Now that I’m thinking about it…I’d LOVE to be at Michael’s wedding.
We saw how he tried to turn Christmas and the Booze Cruise into big parties. I bet his wedding would be a blast. Just imagine how over-the-top it would be.
Oh…and chocolate replicas of the Dundies could be the favors. That would be awesome.

Are Phyllis and Bob Vance (Vance Refrigeration) engaged already? Are they a possibility? I thought I heard a spoiler that we’d actually be hearing ‘wedding bells’ soon…I really don’t think Carol would say yes if Michael proposed.
I am pretty sure it is either Kelly proposing to Ryan (since he wouldn’t propose to her most likely) or Michael proposing to Carol…and I don’t know if either of those would go over well. It’s definately not Pam/Jim/Roy or Dwangela…that’s just too much for the plot line to handle.
Roy will re-propose to Pam, and she will turn him down again. Roy said that “he has to win her back.” By proposing and being denied again, it would give some closure for the viewers regarding Roy and that would allow them to move Jim in on Pam without the Roy issue hanging over his head.
dwight+angela or michael+carol. dwight+angela would be pretty funny, though. pam+roy is too early and pam+jim wont happen too soon.
