All Of “Lazy Scranton”
NBC has put up the full video of “Lazy Scranton” from last night’s show. I was laughing so hard when I saw the few clips that they showed last night so I was quite excited to see the whole thing.
In case you aren’t familiar with the SNL skit, this was a remake of Lazy Sunday.
Also, in a second deleted scene, Kevin and Andy have their official meeting.
I tried for a while to find a direct link to the video, but for right now it is just on the homepage. Hopefully they don’t move it anytime soon.

I love the end of Lazy Scranton where Dwight gets off beat with his “What!” and Michael gets frustrated.

Michael and Dwight like Cugino’s “for the tasty bread.” Cugino’s is an unpretentious little joint in my hometown of Dunmore. I’ve GOT to get back there to check it out. With all this publicity, I hope I can make a reservation sometime soon!

I laughed so hard at the Great Scott thing that he put at the end again. I thought that was a one time thing, and I am SO GLAD that it’s now Michael’s trademark.

This was great. My wife and I loved it ast night, but the extended version was even beter.
One thing my wife notied is that when Michael was introducing the video, and talking about the city, his pronunciation of Scranton was DEAD ON! As anyone who ahs ever lived in, or spoken to anyone who ever grew p in Scranton, it is pronounced ” scrantn” with the ugliest flattest “a” possible in Scranton. Someone must have coached him

For you folks who aren’t present or former Scrantonians, you do know that the Anthracite Museum, Montage Mountain, and the Electric City sign are real, right? There was a crew here in like, I think, September…shooting those locations. And Dwight was wearing a Rock107 t-shirt! I think you might not know that since we never see the whole logo, but that’s what it is. That was cool.
And Kevin you’re definitely right about Michael’s pronunciation of “Scrantn”. But you know what? There’s a scene, maybe one of the deleted scenes on the NBC/Office page I think…where Michael is conducting a role-playing exercise or something and he’s a cop and his solution to the scene is to shoot everyone, and he’s saying “Boom Boom Boom”. But it doesn’t sound like a Scrantn boom, it sounds like an Allentown “bewm”. They missed that one. Or maybe Michael went to like, Kutztown or something? LOL!

[…] it’s a parody of the SNL skit “Lazy Sunday” that I found by stumbling upon the fansite for “The Office”. In late 2004, David and I read in the local Scranton paper that NBC was going to make an American […]
