Some People Have Seen “The Convict”

(There are no spoilers in this post, but there are spoilers in the linked articles.)

It seems like more and more people are getting to screen the episodes before they air on television. (Dear NBC, how about some LITO love?)

GMMR gave a nice run down of what they thought, and Linda from the New York Post did as well.

I especially liked the way that Linda described The Office:

In other words, it’s throw-your-back-out-funny in that hugely embarrassing, please-don’t-go-there sort of way.
And there’s good reason. The episode was written by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, long-time collaborators, who created “The Office” in the U.K. before allowing their baby to go away to school on this side of the Atlantic…It’s so bad, so tasteless, so embarrassing, so hysterical that you seriously should consider firing up the TiVo – this is one you’ll want to see several more times.

Tonight is going to be awesome!!

It will only be sort of awesome for me… I live in Cincinnati and the Office is going to be pre-empted for the Bengals-Ravens game tonight. Earl and The Office will run @ 7 and 7:30, respectively, on Saturday night.

So, the good news is that I get to watch the Bengals play. The bad news is that I have to watch the Office on YouTube Friday morning before work.

    I can’t wait for tonight’s episode!

Have Ricky Gervais and/or Stephen Merchant written any previous episodes of the US Office?

Jason, usually DailyMotion [ http://www.dailymotion.com/visited/search/The%20Office%20S0*/1 ] has them up pretty quickly (day after-ish), and it has better quality as well as the entire episode in one video instead of parts. Enjoy!

P.S. – I’m just discovering that a LOT of popular TV programs can be seen in full on the web these days.

I love the fact that the New York Post says “The Office” is so bad, so tasteless, so embarrassing…” and there are SO many of us looking forward to it.

  5. Michael says:

i think embarrasing is the only proper word that they used to describe the office

  6. Brian Stucki says:

I think those adjectives were used tongue-in-cheek.

I agree Brian. After all, Michael is the epitome of tastless and embarrassing…in a way that amuses us all. ;)
