John The Prop Guy On The Convict

John The Prop Guy is awesome, and so is his blog every week. It’s up again.

We did the Prison Mike scene many many times and there was much laughter during Steve’s monologue. The fact that all you see is everyone looking stone faced is amazing. The scene after that with Toby was my favorite. I thought Paul did a fantastic job. It was full of sincerity and really hit at the main crux of Michael’s character. He gets teased, and he should realize that more often. Paul writes and produces the show, but should think about acting after that.

If we get to talk with Paul (Toby), we’ll definitely ask him if there is more acting in the future. Let’s make it happen.

There is more in John’s blog. As usual he touches on different scenes. You can read it on his latest Myspace blog post.

I’m surprised they would let a convicted rapist on the set.

My wife and I were amazed watching the “wintery” scene in the parking lot last night. We were laughing, because it was probably about 80 degrees in Los Angeles when they filmed that. And now we get to read the prop guy talking about the work that went into the fake snow, slush and soot. Fake “car exhaust soot”… how cool is that?
