LITO reader Jessica just sent me a note about Rainn Wilson at the Steamtown Mall. She wrote about it on her blog.
About halfway through the meet and greet, Rainn invites fans to write questions and send them up to the stage. He takes the mic and reads and answers them aloud.
Someone asks if Dwight has a crush on Pam. Rainn asks if that person even watches the show. He gets into a dialogue with an audience member about the girls of The Office; how they’re all hot, even Phyllis. He throws in the tidbit that Angela Kinsey is married to Paul Liberstein’s brother in real life.
Another person asks if he’s gotten a new phone since he threw his phone off Dunder Mifflin’s roof. He says he’s upgraded to a Treo.
A group of kids from the University of Scranton ask for the HUGE Rainn Wilson promotional banner. Rainn says it’s not up to him, but the mall manager agrees to it. Weird!

i was soooo upset! i wanted to go but i couldnt get up there (i live like an hour away). =( but i did talk to a few friends from that area and supposedly rainn was also at the mall saturday night for a little bit. so wish i was there!
the line was way too long for me to wait(it wrapped around the whole mall and 3 blocks down the street),so i just took pics,but do not know how to post them……but it was way too crowded to go in line.(the earliest person came at 7:00AM to be 1st in the line.

Upgraded to a Treo? I don’t think that’s possible. Last year, he had a Motorola i860 on the Nextel network – as do I, and as did Jack Bauer last season (I’m assuming he’ll upgrade as well.) I caught it in one of the scenes. This year, it was evident from the scene where he goes with Michael to NY that he upgraded to the i870. (Incidentally, he said he had the address in his phone but I don’t think that phone has address fields, unless he put it in the memo section.) So, the bottom line is that Nextel does not support the Treo so it wouldn’t make sense that he upgraded to it unless he changed providers.

Did he share any fun insight into the show? I mean I’m sure he cannot give away spoilers but any insight into his/other characters?
dwight sounds like he wants to get into politics… threatening the mayor like that on the video!
I saw Rainn yesterday as well. I got his autograph and a hug! He was an awesome guy
and really cared about all of the fans. I got to the mall at 8:30am and waited in line until Rainn got there at 12:30. He did a little Q&A before he started meeting people. His favorite episode was The Injury, with The Initiation coming at a close second. My pictures are at

I got engaged at the VIP brunch for Rainn that morning! It was so awesome and unforgettable! Rain gave me quite the congratulations!
