The People Have Spoken…
About a week ago, I asked everyone to vote for their favorite episode of The Office. The votes came pouring in. And now we have reached 1000 votes so I think it is a good time to announce the winner.
And the winner is…..drumroll please……………
To be honest, I wasn’t too surprised about this. Whenever I talk to people about the show and their favorite parts, the George Foreman grill burning Michael’s foot is nearly always brought up. In second place was Casino Night and that makes sense. I’m pretty sure that people liked the soul-giving foosh between Pam and Jim.
In case you want to see how the rest of the episodes fared, you can check it out here.

the injury did get a few mentions, but a much larger chunk of the comments said they chose casino night, large enough to have a 197:166 vote win be suspiciously disproportionate to what people said (i think it’s 12:3 in favour of casino night? lazy counting though) so i’m thinking … rigged!
officegate!

When I introduce friends to The Office, I show them The Injury. That way I know they’ll be hooked.

Bland, that’s actually a great idea. I tried to get a friend hooked on the office, and the first show he saw was The Coup.
He hasn’t watched another one since.

I pondered too long and missed my opportunity to be counted! After the post went up I decided I had to watch Benihana Christmas another 5 or 6 times because I really enjoyed that episode. Prior to Benihana, I would have said Casino Night and before Casino Night I would have said the Dundies, although Office Olympics was the first episode I watched and as mentioned previously by my other posters, my first episode will always have a special place in my heart.
Any who, my unofficial vote is for Casino Night because, alas, I am a sap and “the kiss” is hard to beat.

oh man, the injury is the one I laughed the hardest at. I also loved the branch closing episode though. I thought that was soooo well written. And as far as the Christmas episodes go, I actually liked last years better than this years. Yankee Swap!!!

Don’t get me wrong, I love all episodes of the Office, I just don’t see what is particularly better about the injury…. Hum… Maybe I need to watch it again (and again)
But I have to say that in my experience, any episode is good to hook friends on the Office!

Ok, I have watched the Injury again and I have to say it is hilarious. I still think it is missing a certain aspect of Micheal’s character where we feel for him though. He is childish and immature from begining to end, no break, nothing…. But it is still very funny! Dwight almost makes up for it!
