I’m definitely a Karen guy. She’s hotter, more outgoing, and I love the sarcastic streak!
I think people underestimate Pam. She’s probably a very dirty girl behind closed doors.

Ooooh…thats a tough one…I have to go with Pam…Karen IS Hotter, but Pam seems to have so much more depth…I also agree that I would get annoyed by Karen after a while…and Pams personality, though not as outgoing, makes her even cuter than she already is…Shes kind of a mystery and finding out all of her intricacies would be part of the fun…
I love Karen. Hotter, and I think she’s funnier. Plus, the answers to “Last Sunday spent” and “Um…” questions did it for me.
Sorry, but the Obama/McCain question did it for me. I’m a Pam guy. But boy…that “Lazy Sunday Spent”…
Not to be horribly crude, but if Pam is “bottom” and Karen is “top,” that leaves room in the middle for me, right?

I don’t think that’s a fair assessment of Karen at all. I don’t think she’s like that in any way.
And if I wasn’t pro-Pam before, the Obama fact did it.

I think GQ missed the ball on Karen.
This makes Karen seem much more wild than she actually is. True, she wilder than Pam but this makes her seem very hoar-ish and crazy.
Jim is totally pointing his thumb at Pam’s side. Squee.
I’d spend a Sunday naked with Karen. Hell, I’d spend the other days naked with her, too.

Um…you do realize the Karen answers are all mostly made up? Karen has no back story, no quirks. She likes chips and COD. That’s it. SHE’S A ROADBLOCK. A plot device. Team Karen can suck it. Boo-yah.
i’d probably click with karen more. call of duty, sarcasm, outgoing (i’m not really, but i need someone who is to balance that aspect). but pam rules too. she’s finally growing a backbone. it’s a tie! or something.
From that list alone, I have much more in common with Karen. I think in real life, someone like Pam would bug me….

I don’t think this is very accurate or thought out as far as their characters go. They make Pam seem super boring and Karen a tomboy. Oh don’t think thats true. Its a hard choice, but I think I’d take Pam.

So…I gotta agree. They are way off the ball with Karen. She’s not confident enough to be a CEO. In a lot of ways, she’s more insecure than Pam. She’s not a playboy pin-up model or Angelina Jolie. She’s more into guy type stuff than Pam, but not enough to be spending her lazy Sunday “naked.” This is obviously the fantasy of the writer’s imagination fleshing out Karen. Gee, I wonder who he liked better?
P.S. Does it SERIOUSLY say somewhere in the office that Pam is a scrapbooker? I’d bet that’s more Angela’s style.

I know this is all in good fun, but this writer is pretty off with both of them. He turned Karen into some fanboy fantasy, and most of Pam’s answers are better suited for Katy. Karen’s no CEO, and I’m sure Pam has spent some Sundays naked (after a couple hours of scrapbooking, of course).
