Some Random Office Notes

Today must have been the “Hook Up LITO With Cool Office Tips” holiday because my inbox has been overflowing. Rather than than fill all of your boxes with “New Post” emails, I thought I’d throw them all into one post. Ready?

- A lot of people have been asking when the next new episode will be shown. The next one is called “Safety Training” and it is on April 12th. I think we have American Idol to blame for all of these reruns. No one, including The Office, wants to compete in their time slots. But this one will be worth some wait:

When Roy confronts Jim in front of the entire office, feelings are revealed and relationships are ended. Meanwhile, after Darryl asks the office to watch a warehouse safety film, Michael, with the help of Dwight, puts together his own office safety film. Andy, back from anger management, helps Jim deal with Roy.

- James points us to the Office/Heroes Hybrid video here.

- Iva sent in the video podcast that her brother does called “Raptor Quest.” This one is filmed at Sundance and is actually quite funny. At the end, they catch up with Rainn Wilson and ask him who would win in a fight. A raptor or a ninja? You can watch it here.

- Somebody really loves LITO reader Michael. He found a surprise at work today. Check it out here.

- The Livejournal Office group found a nice scan of Jenna looking all sassy in Allure magazine. The picture at the top of this post is a crop of the full article here.

Sounds like a good ep. Here’s a partial script for “Safety Training” that someone found. It looks old, so I’m sure alot has changed…

Aw dangit. Do I really have to wait more than five weeks to see the episode with Roy confronting Jim. Damn!!! It will be interesting to see how Andy has changed from his “management training.”

It sounds good… I’m even looking forward to the Michael safety video.

When the summary says, “relationships ended,” what jumps to your mind? We know Roy and Pam have ended, so does that mean no future for Jim and Pam? Or since Roy confronts Jim in front of the whole office, we must assume Karen hears. Perhaps Jim and Karen are done? I hope for the latter.

If Jim and Karen end in April, what’s left for May sweeps? How many episodes are left in the season? Are we only going to get maybe 4 or 5?

    Kelly/Ryan would be about time.
Angela/Dwight? I see surprise pregnancy in their future.
Michael/Jan? Jan is pretty conflicted. I could see Michael rushing to propose again. Or maybe this time he’ll get it right.
Bob Vance/Phyllis Vance? Trouble in paradise so soon?
Kevin/Stacey? It’s complicated, let’s give the man his space.

How did we pass the time over the summer? Oh yeah, webisodes! Anyone want to start a letter/email campaign for some webisodes? Maybe office staffers could read postcards from Phyllis’ honeymoon.

First: ACK, the spoilage. I read this site on my RSS reader, and I *really* wished those spoilers were marked. Guess I’m going to have to drop this site from my reader.

Having said that, I have a terrible feeling about what “relationships ended” means.

I’ll be in the forum. Where it’s easier to steer clear of spoilers. *sigh*

“Safety Training” is NOT the next new episode. The next episode is titled “The Negotiation” or a variation on that.

Also, the episode description I believe was from Wikipedia (that’s where I saw it at least), and usually those descriptions are made up by fans.

Just wanted you to know :)

GMMR, that is what I heard too but when I saw it on Wikipedia, it made a lot of sense. Surely they won’t go a full episode and have us assume that Roy just sits there brewing without a confrontation.

Wikipedia has a pretty good track record so far.

    (But thanks for the pointer)

Wikipedia has a pretty good track record??
So when are we going to see these episodes?

    Jan. 18, The Competitor
After being angered by Andy’s closeness to Michael, Dwight takes a job at a rival paper distributor. Michael tries to keep his tentative hold on his current paramour. And Karen and Roy both find out the real reason Roy’s and Pam’s engagement was canceled.

    Feb. 1, The Test
After he is caught not knowing the capital of Pennsylvania, Michael creates a “citizenship” test that every employee must pass to keep his or her job — and one person fails. Dwight starts up a company newsletter, and suddenly a competing newsletter (anonymously written) appears. Meanwhile, an “Office”-mate learns that she is unexpectedly pregnant.

    Feb. 8, Singles Party
For her first Valentine’s Day in years without a boyfriend, Pam — and the unexpectedly single Oscar — decide to throw a party for all their unattached friends at the office. When all of the other guests find dates, Pam is left alone — until an unexpected guest arrives. Meanwhile, Andy and Dwight form an alliance to try to prank Jim, and after some inappropriate office nudity, Michael forces Meredith to enter his personal alcohol counseling program.

    Feb. 15, The Policy
After getting fed up with Michael’s advances, Jan institutes a new policy that coworkers at Dunder-Mifflin are not allowed to date. Michael tries to decide whether to keep his job. Angela finds a loophole, but Dwight isn’t sure he wants to go through it. And the camera crew inadvertently finds something very interesting while eating supper in Carbondale.

There is definitely a new episode called “Safety Training” coming up, but the rest has got to be created by some fan who’s up-to-date with spoilers. The official NBC episode synopsis wouldn’t give away such a big piece of information as “relationships are ended.”

    MARCH

ahh yes the season of reruns.
or the month of reruns rather. has no one ever heard of MARCH MADNESS?

ya…no series wants to compete with that. that’s why march madness is a time the actors get to, let’s say, break. vacation.

    anyways regarding the new ep.
    can’t wait.
i can only take so much testosterone-ridden college basketball games in one month.

    MARCH

ahh yes. tis the season of reruns.
    or month rather.

has no one ever heard of MARCH MADNESS??
no series wants to compete with the ratings it pulls. and its a spring break for the actors.
besides, what actor doesn’t want to watch hours upon hours of testosterone-ridden, chaotic college basketball games?

    regarding the new ep.

    excited. Andy’s coming back?
that guy makes me want to punch babies.
