A Fun New Game From NBC
LITO reader Lynn just pointed me toward a fun new game on the NBC website. It is to test your knowledge of the quotes from The Office. They give you the first part of the quote and you have to finish it. If you finish it correctly, you can get 5 more points by offering who said it. Then, another 5 points if you can get the episode it was in.
I thought I would have done great, but it was harder than I thought. I knew the ending of most of the quotes, but it has to have exact spelling, punctuation AND capitalization. For instance, “dad a GI” is not correct but “Dad a GI?” is correct. I don’t think that’s totally fair. I mean, who knows how to spell bore-iantation.(I don’t think that’s the correct way.)
I also wish they’d let me guess the person and episode on them all. That would have been the super easy part.

yeah, tried this last night, super hard, with spelling and sequence. Also, some quotes, just completing the sentence isn’t enough, as it still wants the next sentence. Gah!

They messed up on one quote. They had “Never ever sleep with your boss! I am so glad that…” But it is really “Never ever sleep with your boss! I am so LUCKY that…” I am surprised they would make a mistake on their own game!

They expect you to be perfect and on one or two, they don’t even have the exact quote right.

I got so close on most of them. I too wish you could say who said it and what episode, even if you got the quote wrong. It had some fun quotes on it. Thanks for sharing.

260. And I got two of them wrong because I put the wrong number of spaces between words. Literally, that was all that was different (capitalization, punctuation, etc. included) Still fun though

I got a 120 but I basically got several others right except for a few letters. For example on the “I will plant my seed into you” one I wrote “I will plant my seed IN you” and got it wrong. It’s pretty strict.

I only got a 120. I think they could have been a little looser. I didn’t know how to spell bore-ientation. I’m still not sure if thats correct.
