News For The Weekend
Oh boy, I travel out to the East Coast for one day and all kinds of Office goodies pop up. Looking thru the long list of emails, here are the gems I can see.
- There is a new deleted scene from “The Merger” on NBC’s Office page. It’s always good to get more of Kevin…even if it’s a couple months after the episode. How do you all feel about the way Jim says, “OK?” He says it like that a lot like it’s almost become one of his catch prases. The video is here.
-Some good folk at LJ was good enough to scan and post an article about Mindy Kaling (kelly).
-According to this press release we have some fun Office Thursdays coming up even though there are no new episode:
NBC’s Emmy Award-winning comedy “The Office” will offer fans extra overtime of laughs by treating them to never-before-seen footage from the hit series in a newly edited hour of encore episodes on Thursday, March 15 (8 – 9 p.m. ET). Additionally, on Thursday, March 29 (8 – 9:30 p.m. & 10 – 11 p.m. ET), fans can stay late at “The Office” when “Toby Flenderson” (Paul Lieberstein) hosts an “Office Marathon” featuring five episodes starting at 8 .p.m (ET). The five “Office” episodes will surround an all-new episode of “Andy Barker P.I.” at 9:30 p.m. ET.
- The ever busy tanster at Office Tally was good enough to post two previews for the upcoming episodes. Here is video 1 and video 2.
- The Chicago Tribune is asking “Who is the best character on Television?” Michael and Dwight are both on there and they need are help. You can go vote here.
Thanks to everyone for the tips. It’s awesome to know that while I’m on the Road, the LITO PI’s are still out there finding the best news.

Did you ever make it to the Parade??? What did you think?
No Dunder-Mifflin float, but a lot of green Dunder-Mifflin T-shirts and lots of “Scranton party” shirts.
Was a great time. A friend of mine who runs a bar downtown, near the parade route ( it shall remain nameless), takes ALL the tables out to fit more prople in, and sells what is essentially a 2 month supply of beer and booze in one day!!.
Most bars (Whistles, the banshee) had to have 6-12 porta potties outside, and in a light drizzle at 6 pm, there were women lined up 6 deep to use them!

Hi, John Webster from Rock107 in Scranton here (Dwight’s favorite radio station despite the Froggy sticker…”Hello, Rock107, am I the 107th caller?” when he was trying to win the Jethro Tull boxset, and let’s not forget it was a Rock107 t-shirt he wore in the Lazy Scranton video.)
Another St. Patrick’s Day Parade in the history books here in the Electric City.
The Rock107 contingent was in the parade as always. We took a bunch of pictures. Now remember, since we were IN the parade, we didn’t see ANY of the parade except for the division we were in and what was still on television in the bars hours after we were done.
That said, there are pictures of the Rock107 gang behind the Scranton Times building before the parade, in the staging area on Mulberry Street, and then of the actual parade route from our perspective.
So if you’re not a northeast PA resident, you probably won’t know the people in the pictures but you can get a nice peek at what the crowds are like at teh 4th largest St. Patrick’s Day Parade in the country, and a glimpse or two of downtown Scranton (when it’s not obscured by the crowds that is.)
You can see a slideshow at www.webster107.blogspot.com or www.myspace.com/webster107
You might also check out www.scrantontimes.com for the newspaper’s coverage.
Hope you check ‘em all out and enjoy!
Thanks,
John Webster

I voted for Dwight, but…I just couldn’t go against Starbuck. Not after last week’s Battlestar. (Anyone with me?)
