Emmy Watch 2007
The 59th Annual Primtime Emmy Awards will be presented on September 16, 2007. Nominations will be announced at 5:35 AM PST on Thursday, July 19, but there is already buzz about who will go home with golden statues (or at least the satisfaction of being nominated!)
Awards Heaven’s EMMYWATCH 2007 predicts the following nominations: ”The Office” (last year’s Comedy Series victor) in Comedy Series, Steve Carrell (2005 Lead Actor-Comedy winner) in Lead Actor-Comedy, John Krasinski in Supporting Actor-Comedy, and Jenna Fischer in Supporting Actress-Comedy. They also mention Rainn Wilson & Ed Helms as possible Supporting Actor-Comedy nominees, Melora Hardin for Supporting Actress-Comedy, and Rashida Jones for Guest Actress-Comedy.
The Aussiello Report offers a “Dream Ballot” that includes The Office, Carrell, Krasinski, Helms, and Angela Kinsey (Supporting Actress-Comedy).
I think it’s about time the supporting players (not to mention the behind-the-scenes crew) got a little love, especially Fischer & Krasinski. I also hope we have repeat wins for “The Office” as Best Comedy Series and Carrell as Best Leading Actor-Comedy.
A full list of episodes that “The Office” will submit to the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences is listed after the break.
