The press conference with the cast was the first big event I attended at the convention (having arrived on Saturday at noon). For me, it set the tone for the rest of the weekend. The cast really seemed to be enjoying themselves in Scranton. They seemed relaxed and had a blast joking around with each other and the members of the press.

My cousin and I had three cameras between us. Right off the bat, they all became possesed, batteries kept dying, memory cards filled up when they shouldn’t have, pictures were blurry. In short, it was a disaster! Below I included a few short videos from the event. I know the quality is sub-par, but please don’t throw garbage at me! The next event I was able to get better quality videos, which I will be uploading soon.
Click this link below to view a few short videos of some of the questions asked at the conference.
This first video is of Executive Producer Greg Daniels and Producer Kent Zbornak answering a question as to how a possible writers strike would affect production of the show.
This second video is of Brian Baumgartner (Kevin) answering the question posed to the cast (and I am paraphrasing here) “For the first time in TV history, reviews of shows are up minutes after they air. How do you feel about reviews? Do you read the internet reviews of the show?”
This third video shows members of the cast answering the question, “Do you have any upcoming projects you’d like to talk about?” Kate Flannery (Meredith) leads off answering about her upcoming projects and is talking a little about the possible upcoming writers strike.
This last video is of Mindy Kaling (Kelly) and Greg Daniels talking about the evolution of Kelly Kapor since the beginning of the show
After the press conference, the cast milled about the crowd, signing autographs and just chatting with the press/fans throughout the room. I can’t say enough how gracious and enthusiastic everyone was! It was clear that they were truly excited to be there.
Thanks for reading and please comment! Oh, and if any LITO readers have pictures or videos from the convention they’d like to share, please send them to my email address: doves629@aol.com . More convention posts are coming soon!

Today’s Scranton Times website covers many interesting angles on the convention. For instance, a LOT of Alfredo’s Pizza got eaten!
Thanks Bob! I’ll have to check that out. I actually did get a chance to eat at Alfredo’s and bought a t-shirt. The help looked exhausted and so I asked them how this weekend was. They said they were swamped! But, they did not get any cast visits. They did get an order to go which was for the cast. But, in all fairness, the cast was pretty busy attending all the scheduled events so I guess they couldn’t make it to every place mentioned on the show!
Donna, thanks for your convention coverage. I wasn’t able to swing a cross-country trip to my hometown, so I’m glad LITO was there. Keep those details coming!
