St. Pat’s with Andy Buckley

Friday, February 29th, 2008

Andy Buckley will be in attendance at Scranton’s famous St. Patrick’s Day parade, March 15th. “I’ll be wearing my wooden leg so bring on the green beer,” quipped Buckley about his “Parade Day” visit. Find out more about the parade here.

TheOfficeConvention.com, along with NBC.com, are offering 100% official, “Dunder Mifflin: As Green As We Need To Be” T-shirts. You can purchase the shirts online here.

Be aware that they shirts will not ship in time for the parade. So, if anyone is planning on attending, they will want to select the “in-person” option on the website.

Angela update

Wednesday, February 27th, 2008

Our friend Jane, over at PinksandBlues.com, chatted recently with Angela Kinsey. In previous blogs, I’ve mentioned that their site is hosting an “online baby shower”, where one lucky mom-to-be will score tons of great baby gear. Angela Kinsey is the celebrity mom-to-be being honored by the site as well. Here’s a bit of what Angela had to say;

Pinks & Blues: Are you excited to go back to work on “The Office” now that the writers’ strike is over?

Angela Kinsey: I can’t wait to go back to work! Our writers are there working away but the actors do not go back until early March.

P&B: We bet you’ll be pampered by the cast and crew!

Angela: I can tell you that our cast and crew are really like family. So I know I’ll be in good hands. ;)

Happy Birthday Rashida!

Monday, February 25th, 2008

Happy 32nd Birthday to Rashida Jones! Ms. Jones is no longer appearing on The Office (much to the relief of JAM fans everywhere, lol). But, you can see the lovely Rashida on a brand new comedy series premiering on Fox March 2nd, titled “Unhitched“.

Here for your viewing pleasure, and as a LITO tribute to Ms. Jones on her birthday, is a fan-video that reminds us when we as a nation had to choose sides,  “Team Pam” or “Team Karen”?         ~Donna

Jenna’s new blog

Monday, February 25th, 2008

Ok, so it’s not really new (it was blogged on Friday). But, I was away for the weekend, so it’s new to me!

Ms. Fischer chatted a little about being stalked by the paparazzi for the first time while grocery shopping with her sister. Very cute!

And, she also mentioned some tidbits about our beloved show. Here is a sneak peak for you!

“We start back to work on The Office the week of March 3rd.  We are doing 6 episodes.  The sixth will be an hour long finale.  Our first episode back is The Dinner Party.  Michael and Jan throw a dinner party for a few of the Dunder-Mifflin couples.  It’s HILARIOUS.  We had just started filming when we got shut down.  I don’t know anything else from there.  I’ll be curious to see how the writers condense the stories with only 6 episodes left this season.”

Brian Baumgartner revisits his roots

Thursday, February 21st, 2008

Like his fellow cast members, Brian Baumgartner, found himself with some free time during the writer’s strike and decided to expand his horizons rather than veg-out on the couch. Brian went back to his old stomping grounds, Minneapolis, to be a celebrity judge for Last Comic Standing.

Brian, a twin city native, honed his acting skills for eight years at the Theater De La Jeune Lune in Minneapolis before heading to Hollywood in 2003.

Brian enjoyed his hosting stint in his hometown, but is thrilled to be back on The Office set.

“The last few months have been incredibly difficult, I will not lie,” Baumgartner admitted.  “We’ve [he and his Office co-stars] missed being together.  “I had a bottle of champagne that had sat in my refrigerator for three months and I enjoyed drinking it very much last week when the strike was over.”
