CFO at St. Pat’s Parade

Monday, March 17, 2008

Scranton Branch Office blogs that, “The fictional Dunder Mifflin Paper Co. was represented at the parade in the form of company CFO David Wallace.

Actually, it was actor Andy Buckley, the man who plays Wallace on the Scranton-set NBC sitcom “The Office.” Just as he did during his visit here at last fall’s “The Office” Convention, Mr. Buckley donned the familiar Wallace ensemble of suit, tie and glasses so parade-goers would recognize him more easily.

It seemed to work, as Mr. Buckley received a highly enthusiastic ovation as he stood through the sunroof of a black limousine that was part of the Times-Shamrock float contingent. He and parade-goers along Wyoming Avenue traded chants of the show’s catchphrase, “Ain’t no party like a Scranton party, ’cause a Scranton party don’t stop.””

The article says that at the end of the parade, Andy Buckley “made the rounds” at a number of Scranton bars. I wonder if Hillary “made the rounds,” too.
