Season Finale Scoop!
Ok, you knew this was going to start up soon! The season 4 finale is set for May 15th, so here come the spoilers! Just “think before you click” people! Spoilers have been known to be hazardous to your viewing pleasure. But, if you have to know, go right ahead. I understand completely!

Question: OK, so last week’s Office was ridonkulously awesome. Jim and Pam get engaged by the end of the season, right? — Jeff
Ausiello: An Office couple will get engaged by the end of the season, but I’m not saying whether it’s Jim and Pam. And apparently neither is anyone else. Office producers made the entire cast and crew sign confidentiality agreements about the top-secret and oh-so-twisty season finale.
Question: Jenna Fischer said that an Office character will be leaving in the season finale. Any hints? — Chris
Ausiello: OK, well, maybe it was just the crew that signed them. In any event, Jenna Fischer is correct. Someone is leaving in the finale.
And I also saw another rumor while I was snooping around the internet, that the season finale will be titled, “Goodbye Toby”. However, that is not confirmed, just blog-chatter. In fact, when I checked the NBC media site, the finale is not titled, but listed with a number only. But still, “Goodbye Toby”? If it’s true, I wonder if Toby’s character will be leaving the show? Could he be writing or helming the Office spin-off? Thoughts?!
And OMG! Who do you think will be getting engaged?! And who the heck is leaving?! A thought popped into my head that it would be Angela and Dwight getting engaged, not sure exactly why. The obvious choice is of course, Jim and Pam, but I see it being a little more complex than that for them. Who knows? Either way, the finale is less than a month away, so we don’t have long to wait. ~Donna

I’m just “thinking outside the box” here, but what if it was Kelly and Darryl that get engaged?

NBC/Uni definitely had the title up as “Goodbye, Toby” for a little while–I saw it before they took it down.
Some people are saying it’s a red herring, though–all I know is that the suspense is killing me!

Hey Tessicle! Yeah, I did see it up on the NBC media site at an earlier date, but now it’s gone! So, it could definitely be a “red herring” or just maybe…not! Who knows? We’ve only got a few more weeks to wait to find out for sure.
Bob, today I am thinking that maybe it is going to be JAM getting engaged. Because they’re the obvious choice, I’ve been overlooking them. Or, maybe it’s Toby! Maybe he’s getting engaged (to the woman from Phyllis’s wedding?) now that he knows he and Pam will never be! ha! That could be why “Goodbye Toby” could be the finale title! Ooh! And, it would free him up to move onto a new job in spin-off land. hmmm….or am I obsessively overthinking again? lol

let’s think about this from a comedy perspective (and from the fact that I have never guessed correctly when thinking logically about this show)….Why not Oscar getting engaged? He has an interest, and I just can’t wait to here what comes out of Michael’s mouth when that is announced.

Dave - Now that WOULD be interesting. It would be the perfect compliment to Gay Witch Hunt. However, last year in Beach Games, he did mention transferring to Albany and Gil can come if he wants, he was looking to get out of that relationship anyway. So if he does get engaged, who would it be to? Maybe Kevin and Stacy will get back together and get engaged again.
I think the obvious choice is JAM, they are the closest to an engagement in their relationship, they’ve been together for a year and haven’t really hit any speed bumps. They always seem happy and in love, it would make the most sense. I think a lot of fans would like to see it happen for them.
As far as the title goes, I don’t think they would use something so obvious, but you never know what kind of twist they could come up with to throw us off.

My vote’s for Angela and Dwight. They’ve had a terrible time apart and I think Angela/Dwight planning a wedding and being married has more possibilities for the writers now than Jim/Pam. Plus, the way I read Pam’s expression in the previous episode is that she is NOT looking to get engaged anytime soon. If it was worded that there would be a “proposal” rather than an “engagement” than I would be thinking that Jim would propose to Pam. But maybe I am overthinking this too much! I definitely think it will be an established or semi-established couple and not Michael finding some crazy woman somewhere.

If NBC posted a loaded title like “Goodbye Toby” and then quickly took it down… and then Toby DOESN’T leave… then that means that the NBC people are TOYING with us! They’re the toy-ers, and we’re the toy-ees!
Dave, Oscar was my first hunch for somebody leaving the show. Oscar Nunez strikes me as an ambitious guy who would take the risk of quitting “The Office” for something bigger.

I’ve come across other rumors that say it’s Andy who is leaving. So, who really knows? I love the spoilers, but a big part of me hopes that they still manage to surprise me!

UGH! I should know better than to read everyone elses thoughts as well as the scoops. I get nervous!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is like season 3 all over again……will Jim and Pam get together, or will this just blow up? Now it is “will Jim and Pam get engaged, or will Jim propose and Pam turn him down AGAIN.” It makes my head hurt.
I don’t think fans (or Jim if he were actually real) could deal with another JAM rejection. That would just be ridiculous. We are in need of happy JAM because when JAM isn’t happy it seems to take over the whole show and over shadows everything else.
I think Jim and Pam is an obvious choice, but I would LOVE to see it be Dwight and Angela.

I think it’s going to be Jan and Michael who get engaged - after Jan announces she’s pregnant!
