Watch “The Office” your iPhone for Free

Saturday, May 10, 2008

The other day, NBC launched a mobile version of their site specifically for iPhone and iPod Touch users. I noticed this when I was checking to see the description of the next episode on my iPhone. You can watch other NBC shows too. Currently, when you point your iPhone’s Safari browser to NBC’s website you are redirected to the an iPhone formatted page. The quality of the videos is OK, but not nearly as good as you would get from iTunes (if only NBC had their content on iTunes…*sigh*). I actually like it and I was able to watch “Job Fair” on my way to my crew race today, even over the iPhone’s sluggish EDGE connection.

Enjoy! I’m curious, do you have an iPhone or iPod Touch? Leave your response in the comments.

  1. I tried this and I guess it is… better than nothing.

The audio got out of sync rather quickly and the video was very low-res. I would gladly pay $2/ep from iTunes if I really had to watch The Office on my iPhone, but sadly that is not an option.

I tried this earlier today. iPhone users like me know the video isn’t the best, but it gets the job done. The loading from EDGE is slow, but you slide into wifi, it’s solid.

I have an iPod Touch and I will definitely be using this to catch up on old episodes over the summer.

I have an iPod Touch as well. To be honest I’m not that in love with it and I don’t use it all that often. This will give me a little incentive.
