Season 4 DVD Release Date
The Office Season 4 DVD release date has been announced…sort of!
NBC Channel 5, out of Chicago, announced the release date before Universal Home Studios has made it official. They probably did it by mistake because it was buried in the contest rules for their “Sierra Mist” The Office sweepstakes contest. However it happened to come about, here’s the DVD release date…September 9, 2008. They also have the approximate retail value at $60.00.
$60.00 huh? Totally worth it! I can’t wait to hear the commentary from this season! And the extras?! OMG, do you think they’ll have “That One Night” videos? Oh boy, THE BLOOPERS! I love it when the cast “breaks”. I’m sure I’m forgetting stuff…What do you just HAVE to see in the Season 4 DVD?! Sound off in the comments… ~Donna

This season was uneven at best. And they are going to charge $60 for a strike-shortened season?

That’s almost more than they charged for the previous past two FULL season’s together. If they are really going to charge THAT much for 14 (19 if you count the 5 hour longs as 2) episodes, I’ll pass. I’m sure most of the DVD extras will end up on YouTube at some point or another.

I thought it was a solid season - a couple clunkers but a couple of classics as well. But if this DVD is really $20 more than the others…..well I need to brush up on my shoplifting skills.

We’ve gotten great deals on the other Office DVDs, so I’m confident that this one will be on sale at a deep discount, too.
Here’s a feature I’d like to see: Wouldn’t it be cool if “deleted scenes” could be inserted where they were intended? That way the viewer could customize the episode. Most of my customized shows would end up being “supersized.” We could all produce our own “director’s cuts.”
I might even pay full retail list price for a dream package like that!

Alright, I’ll admit it…I might have (yet again!) “Schruted it” with the “totally worth it” comment. Yeah, what the heck was I thinking?! Leave it to you guys to waste no time calling me on it! That’s why I loves ya..! I think I was temporarily blinded by the recent gas prices. You know what I mean…$75.00 to fill my gas tank, what’s $60.00 for The Office DVD?! I was BLINDED I tells ya! That is my new story, and I’m sticking to it!
So, yes I am redacting my blog comment. $60.00 is ALOT of money for a DVD. Yes sadly, even an Office DVD.

Even if it were a full season, I still wouldn’t pay $60 for a DVD. That’s double what I paid for previous seasons, also you could watch every episode and every deleted scene online for free. Yes it’s nice to have it in one package, but not for $60.
