Winnepegsun.com reports that Steve Carell & Co. will definitely be around The Office for at least three more seasons:

Steve Carell, who portrays the inept regional manager on NBC’s hugely popular The Office, says he’ll be with the Emmy-winning comedy for at least another three seasons despite his burgeoning big-screen career. “All of the main cast are signed for three more. Beyond that, I have no idea.”

Oh yeah, and don’t forget to watch Steve tomorrow morning on “Live with Regis and Kelly”.

E!Online interviewed Steve Carell and his wife, Nancy Walls, at the red carpet premiere of “Get Smart” (see video below).

Steve Carell revealed how he trained for such a physically demanding part. “I did four sit-ups to prepare myself for this role,” said Carell. “Over two days. I spread it out because I didn’t want to be too sore.”

BuddyTV has an article out that chronicles the rise of Steve Carell as an A-list comedy star. In it, they discuss his humble beginnings, (“Dana Carvey Show” anyone?) right up until his leading role in the upcoming summer big budget comedy, “Get Smart”.  And here was something I didn’t know:

It turns out that one of the major reasons that NBC picked up The Office for a second season was because of the anticipated success of The 40 Year-Old Virgin at the box office.  They were right to do so, as Virgin was a surprise box office smash, launching Steve Carell, Seth Rogen and the whole Judd Apatow gang onto the A-List.  Without Steve Carell, The Office or NBC/Universal’s foresight, we probably wouldn’t have Knocked Up, Superbad, Forgetting Sarah Marshall or the upcoming Pineapple Express

FashionWireDaily.com has red carpet photos up from the LA premiere of Steve Carell’s movie, “Get Smart”, which premieres nationwide on June 20th. (photo left is of Steve and his lovely wife Nancy Walls, who played Carol the Realtor on The Office)

Pretty women and handsome men graced the “Get Smart” red carpet at that retro comedy’s premiere at the Mann Village Theater in Westwood, Calif., on Monday night. Steve Carell, who takes over the role of Maxwell Smart originally made famous by Don Adams in the Sixties television series of the same name, looked dapper as he escorted his pretty wife Nancy Walls, while Anne Hathaway, his co-star as Agent 99, wowed the large crowd of fans assembled

From the MySpace blog, “Bobby Vance Fans Unite!”, here is a snipet from their interview with the ever-gracious Bobby Ray Shafer:

Do you know if there will be another Office Convention in Scranton, and if so will you be there again? (Seeing you was the highlight for a lot of us.)
I think that there will be but I doubt that it will be this year because of the strike(s) and the fact that there are 28-30 Office episodes ordered for next season, not to mention the additional 13 episodes of THE SPIN-OFF (that dares not speak it’s name)… and I believe from what Sherlock Shafer has been able to detect, that the shooting schedules for both series will prohibit that from happening this year, but again, that’s merely an educated guess. From conversations I’ve had with the fine folks back inScranton, PA I believe that they’re all for it. And thank you, it’s nice to be a highlight!

Now, of course, that’s only a rumor about the convention, but it does make sense when you think about it.  I have to say, that rumor is a big bummer for me! I had a complete blast last year and would be sure to return if there is another convention. Well, until that rumor is confirmed, I am just going to keep my fingers crossed that they somehow work it out to return again this fall to Scranton.

Thanks to Hot Dog Fingers for the tip:

BuddyTV has posted: Despite not having a premise nailed down, the spin-off has its first cast member: Aziz Ansari. Aziz is a part of the MTV comedy troupe Human Giant and will be featured on the next season of Scrubs as an intern.

There is also an interesting rumor floating around that Rashida Jones is being considered to helm the spin-off.

When you think about it, that would make sense. We already know that Karen is the current boss of the Utica branch of Dunder-Mifflin. The spin-off could just center around that particular branch with a whole new cast of characters. Plus, it would leave room for any of the Scranton Branch to hop on over or just stop by. Hmmm…I like it! :)

Jenna Fischer updated her MySpace blog. She chats about her recent interview on “Craig Ferguson”:

“I ended up talking about my Mom’s many hobbies when I was growing up. One of which was making homemade chocolates. But I hadn’t planned on talking about the time she made “chocolate boobies” for a friend’s 40th birthday party as a gag gift. Oh boy! I haven’t talked with my folks yet.”

She also chats about how you can own a piece of The Office:

“On another topic…you can own a piece of The Office! In the episode “Did I Stutter” Andy sells Dwight is 2001 Nissan Xterra. The car we used in the show belongs to our hairdresser Kim Ferry. She’s decided to sell the car on eBay!”
