Happy Birthday Phyllis!
LITO would like to wish Phyllis Smith a very happy 57th birthday! Mrs. Bob Vance adds alot of heart to our favorite show. Some of my favorite Phyllis moments are:
~season 2, “Email Survellience” when Pam asked Phyllis if she knew of any “secret office romances”, and she replied cryptically, “you tell me”, referring to a possible secret Jim/Pam romance (if only! lol).
~season 2, “Sexual Harassment” when Toby said it was probably best to disclose any office romances to HR, and Phyllis replied, “even a one-night stand?” I’m still dying to know who that was!
~season 3, “Traveling Salesman”, when Phyllis gussied up herself and Karen in that ridiculous hair & makeup because she knew her client’s wife had that type of “look”.
~season 4, “Goodbye Toby” when Phyllis discovered Dwight and Angela in a compromising position in the last few moments of the show.
What is your favorite “Phyllis” moment?

My favorite “Phyllis Moment” is when she puts her hand up to her head and pulls the “trigger.” I’ve been using that image as a forum avatar, as one or two people may have noticed. I think Phyllis is a key player that kicks the Office up another notch. Mrs. Bob Vance rocks.

your comment reminds me of somethat that was brought up during the office conventions “writer’s block”. the writers were talking about who Ryan replaced as the temp. They said if you actually figure out the fictional time frame they had set up for the show, Tom’s suicide would have occured less than a month before Ryan’s employment at DM! And they were laughing that in an office as small as Scranton, no one ever mentions (or supposidly even remembers) one of their co-workers who committed suicide! it was funny to see how in-the-office-world they are. funny because i’m right there with them! lol

I love when they’re singing the “Ryan Started the Fire” song and Phyllis is quietly breaking it down with her dance moves in the corner.
I also really like how the little girl calls her Mother Goose. Phyllis has no words.

I like how Phyllis got 6 weeks off for her honeymoon just for putting Michael in her wedding.
Another great Phyllis episode is Launch Party when she Googles “How to deal with difficult people.” and tries some new stuff out on Angela.
