Scranton Branch Office blogs:

While NBC hasn’t officially called the Poehler/Daniels/Schur show “Public Service” we do have some photos of filming the show thanks to JustJared.com as well as show info from NBC.

From Emmy Award-winning executive producers Greg Daniels (NBC’s “The Office,” “King of the Hill”) and Michael Schur (NBC’s “The Office,” “Saturday Night Live”) comes a new mockumentary that looks at the exciting world of local government. The funniest deleted scene ever! How was this not in the show?! ~Donna

“Prince Family Paper” starts off with Jim pranking Dwight. Always a good place to start! Dwight finds a mysterious wire coming out of the back of his computer. Ever curious, Dwight begins to follow the wire. We see him get up out of his chair, trace it through the office, down the hall, etc…In a talking-head, Jim explains that he bought 500ft. of red wire at the local flea market for $20.00. As he’s explaining this, we can see Dwight climbing a telephone pole outside the window in the background. The camera’s focus in on Dwight as he scales the pole, still chasing the source of the wire. Jim’s response? “Oh, he’ll be fine. I made it up there.” lol Read on »

This episode’s cold-open features a newly installed police radar gun outside the Dunder-Mifflin building complex. It seems drivers were going a little too fast for Angela (surprise, suprise!). So, after many 911 phone calls by Miss Martin, the police finally installed a radar gun. But, as Pam explains in her talking-head, “it’s probably caused more traffic problems”. Why you ask? It seems the staff has found a new way to kill time; racing, on foot, past the radar gun to see how fast they are running. Michael clocks in at 12 miles an hour. He screams, “beat that Carl Lewis!” Read on »
