THAT was an interesting article! Thanks for posting it.
I’m intrigued by Greg Daniels’ comment at the end, where he says that casting Rashida Jones in Parks & Recreation has effectively ended any chance of a “crossover” with The Office. Here’s how I would handle it: Do a “crossover” show, where Dunder-Mifflin gets a contract to supply paper to Pawnee’s government offices. Have Michael and Dwight catch a glimpse of Rashida’s character on P & R, as she walks down the hallway. They would then give each other a puzzled look, and wonder out loud “Where have I seen HER before?”
The majority of fans watching would “get” the inside joke.
I like how you think Bob! That is a fun idea. But obviously GD’s brain works a bit different from ours!
Kevin, loved the article! I have a special “thang” for GD because he actually took the time to chat with me at the convention (and pose for a pic with me). He was so gracious and sweet. Luvs him!!
Any-who, it’s interesting to see how he envisions the future of the show. Maybe we’re not going to see the show “jump the shark” after all? If the writer’s can bring in new cast members and have them fit as seamless as Andy & Erin did, we could get a whole new vibe rockin’ in Scranton. Could be greatness people!!
