Nope, still not the 2012 thing. This.

Nope, still not the 2012 thing. This.

No, not the whole 2012 thing but this. Looks like we may be nearing the end of The Office…..

So, from a “Scrantonicity-istic” standpoint, I was quite anxious about this episode, “Pool Party;” Could we expect a big splash, or would they go off the deep end? Would the writers just tread water? Float some new ideas? Would they sink or swim? Well, it’s time to dive right in… Read on »
I have a high school and college friend named Tony. And Tony has lived with us for quite awhile now. He’s pretty much a family member to my wife and I. He’s “Uncle Tony” to my son. Over the years, Tony and I have watched a great many episodes of a great many television shows together. 24. Battlestar Galactica. 30 Rock. Farscape. Firefly. Parks and Recreation. And of course, The Office. Tony and I have sat and watched pretty much every episode of The Office together since the third season. But last night, I saw Tony do something that I had never seen him do before. Midway through “Pool Party”, Tony got up and walked out.
Two Deleted Scenes have been released from last week’s episode.

Kelly catches Ryan in a lie during this Jewish Holiday themed trivia question. I didn’t realize Ryan was Jewish, but he could just be making it up to spend less time with Kelly:
A new game has been created over at NBC.com based on this past week's episode, Trivia.
You get to answer random trivia questions. They don't tell you the actual answers at the end, but they will let you know which team you belong on. I got Oscar's Aesop's Foibles team. To answer the questions and see where you rank, just click here.

Sorry for the delay in posting this week’s recap, my twins have been down with the stomach flu since Friday, what a mess! Only being up to my elbows in toddler vomit could keep me from posting my recap in record time. I’ve been on a consistent, “Get the recap up by Friday morning” streak so far this season. I guess I’ll just have to reset the clock and start again; which is exactly what the Dunder Mifflinites had to do in this week’s cold opening…..
Way, way back in 2011, I read a synopsis of the upcoming Office episode “Trivia.” It described a trivia contest taking place in a bar, involving the whole Dunder-Mifflin gang. I remember thinking to myself “Well, this will be a slam-dunk Scrantonicity.”
They almost always use a real Scranton bar, like Poor Richard’s or Farley’s or Tink’s. Even though they film in California, the top-drawer prop department has always liberally peppered the set with local items plucked from the enormous “Scranton prop-drop-box.” Well… that went by the wayside, once they established the astounding premise that the whole office crew would be traveling in a car caravan on the two-and-a-half hour sojourn to faraway Philadelphia… in the middle of wintery January… to drink in a bar, and then drive all the way home on the dark and ominous turnpike… To quote Toby, warning Michael Scott about the dangers of having Boy Scouts attend “Casino Night:” Is that enough? Should I keep going? Read on »
Well my friends, the new year is here. All the relatives have gone home, the kids are back in school and the holiday decorations have been packed away – but never fear! If you’re still looking for some seasonal cheer, there’s an all new Office episode to look forward to this Thursday as the winter TV season kicks off with all new NBC Thursday night comedies.
Now I’m not quite sure what “Trivia” is actually about. I know it has something to do with some sort of Trivia game that the office mates participate in outside the DM Sabre office. How and why they are there will remain a question until Thursday. However, the powers that be have released a few sneak peaks to wet our appetites. For those of you who would rather wait and not be spoiled, DO NOT click on the red “Read on” button below. Clips are after the jump.

JKras on Sesame Street
You know you’ve finally arrived as a celebrity when they ask you to guest star on the longest running children’s television show in history. John Krasinski, along with the help of Murry the Monster, helped explain to the meaning of the word ‘Soggy’ to children everywhere. Of course, hilarity ensued.
As a mother of toddlers, I frequently watch Sesame Street and encourage my kids to learn their ABC’s and 123′s from those adorable characters I grew up with and loved as well. I always enjoy seeing the celebrity guests, many of whom are parents themselves, that come on to help out those lovable muppets. Perhaps this means that there is a bundle of joy on the way for John and his wife Emily Blunt. (I’m not really one to start rumors though, especially because of our extensive readership; this one could spread like wild fire.
)
Now all that’s left for JKras to do is host SNL and his career will be complete. (Praying to the SNL Gods to make that happen.
I’m sure Loren Michaels is reading this blog. Now you see what world I’m living in; clearly not the real one.)

Enjoy!
