LITO reader , Ali, sends in this picture for the Schrute Travels Contest. IT was taken in a back alley of Newburyport, MA. The photographer in my loves the deep red and green and the way that she composed the shot. And, the Office fan in me loves the fact that Dwight looks like he has his Birkenstock’s and Angela behind that wall.

Awesome picture Brian, and even though Dwight couldn’t get his visa to travel himself, this definitely counts for the Schrute Travels Contest.

I was so excited to see the new Office website on NBC. Just for kicks, I decided to step into the forums and see what was being written there. I was kind of bummed to see that just today they went live with a new section called, “Adventures With Dwight” where they are accepting photo’s of “Dwight’s Travels.”
They must have liked my new Schrute Travels category that I started a month and a half ago.
Well, I’ll be excited to see the pictures there anyhow. I’ve already left a note there about the contest for anyone who wants to submit the photos in both places. And at least we know that NBC reads the site so that’s a compliment. I hope they read all of the story ideas that were written. There were a ton of good ones.

A while back, I started a new category on LITO called “Schrute Travels.” I really really like the idea because I think it will be fun to see him all over the place. I’m not sure if there aren’t enough bobbleheads out there or if there isn’t an incentive to send the pictures in. Hopefully, we can change that.
Starting today, any “Schrute Travels” picture sent in will be entered into the Schrute Travels Contest. For the next month, I will be posting the entries. At the end of the contest, I’ll post my five favorite from the previous month and then you, the readers, will decide which one is our favorite picture. Simple enough?
If you don’t have a Dwight Bobblehead, this gives you a reason to get one. There are a constant flow of Dwight Bobbleheads on ebay. You can always order from the NBC site. Right now it says it’ll be shipped mid-august, but hopefully the’ll come a little earlier. Even if they don’t, you should be able to get into the contest by the end.

With this post, we mark a new category for LITO. This feature will be called “Schrute Travels” and will be full of photos of all the places that our favorite bobblehead travels. Here you see Dwight relaxing by the lake in front of the Bellagio hotel in my hometown of Las Vegas. I’m sure he was hot in that suit!! (It was 102 degrees)
The “Schrute Travels” pictures can be your hometown, cities you travel to, in front of monuments, in popular restauraunts, weekend parties, sporting events…just about anywhere. Just get Dwight standing proud in the location. You and your friends and family and coworkers can be in the photo or not, just as long as we see Dwight. I gave my bobblehead an offical travel spot in my Canon camera bag so he can go on my trips with me. (pictured below)
If you have a bobblehead, take him on your travels and outings. Take photos and send them in to the site. Let me know a little bit about where Dwight is posing. This is going to be so fun!!
