Havent PCs had a cable for this for some time now?
My new Dell laptop connects to my tv perfectly, with one simple (not 500 dollar) cable.
Again, making you think you need something, then selling it to you.
buy a PC with Windows on it.
They allready have this stuff, only without the expensive Apple pricetag.
That little Apple logo must cost alot to print on all these products. |
It'sto my understanding that the iTV is a thing to send a signal to your tv so you can watch things that you download onto your computer wirelessly on your TV. |

| Some people are complaining it's getting too much hype because it does alot of the same stuff as say, a blackberry, it's just sleeker and has the coveted Apple logo. But I think the look of the iphone is just too appealing to not be called amazing. It just looks so friggin' cool!! |

I've been a Mac user for a few years and an iPod user for more. The iPhone is one of the coolest things I'v ever seen. I'm a little disappointed by the price ($500 minimum) and the wait until June since the need FCC approval. I'm also diappointed in Apple's name change from Apple Computer Inc. to Apple Inc. It shows that they're focusing less on their computers and more on the iPod and iPhone, something Steve Jobs said he would never do... _________________ "The Schrutes produce very thirsty babies."

Well, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't intrigued.
I have always said that I wish my iPod had phone call capabilities. That would rock.
Other than that, I really don't need the iPhone. I would like to be able to seamlessly switch from music to receiving a call, but meh. My current phone (and the few before it) does what it needs to do - let me customize ringtones for my contacts (using my own songs, even) , and make/receive calls.
But damn, that iPhone is pretty slick. _________________ Michael: Early worm gets the worm!

I think the thing that makes this different than, say a blackberry, is that it's an ACTUAL video iPod with mac type interfaces (not just a cell phone that holds 20 songs, or a phone that has stupid videos). Plus, anytime Apple comes out with something new, everyone copies it. It's just so freakin cool. _________________ "Poop is raining from the ceiling. Poop."

It looks awesome. And, along with most other folks here, I'll be getting one when the price tag goes down.
On the Mac vs. Apple note, I am a PC chick from way back. I started working at a job where they use Macs about two years ago. Like most other PCers, I complained, made faces, and dragged my feet, saying "If I MUST, but I'm NOT GOING TO LIKE IT!"
Um, I bought an iMac for my home use this year. They are AWESOME. They run SO much more efficiently than any PC I have ever owned. They are sleeker, friendlier, smarter machines. That's all there is to it.
MOST of the people who enter into the "I hate Mac" side of the debate have certainly never tried a Mac full-time. It's that same old, "Hey. My horse and cart gets me from point a to point b just fine." This is true. It does. But if you want style, comfort and a MORE EFFICIENT ride, try the Mac. It is sweetness.
And trust me. It really doesn't take all that long to get used to the fact that the Close Window button is on the "wrong" side. The standard "right click" menu is just as easy to get to. _________________ Blanque

I have already started the "iPhone" fund. Six months, right? That means $50 a paycheck. Yeah! How excited am I? _________________ "Poop is raining from the ceiling. Poop."
